FAQ - Required Documents Q: Where can I purchase the Public Liability Insurance (PLI) required for my event? A: You can approach your preferred insurance provider to purchase the PLI required for your event. Please ensure that your PLI covers pre/post event setup/teardown and name PUB as (i) co-insured; and (ii) loss payee. Please note that the insured amount does not have a minimum requirement. Q: How do I apply for the Public Entertainment License (PE) and Police Permit (PP) required for my event? A: For PE application, you can visit the Online Business Licensing Service (OBLS) website at https://licences.business.gov.sg. For PP application, please refer to www.spf.gov.sg/licence/frameset_pp.html. If your event does not require a PP, a written confirmation from SPF would suffice. Q: How do I apply to Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) for Temporary Change of Use / Fire Safety Permit? A: All events involving structural setup require a Temporary Change of Use / Fire Safety Permit. You should furnish us with a layout plan before we endorse your application to Singapore Civil Defence Force. For more information, please visit www.scdf.gov.sg/content/scdf_internet/en/building-professionals/fire-safety-permitand-certification/temporary-change-use.html.please note that all setup should comply to the requirements as listed in the above-listed website. Q: Can I have a sample of the required layout plan? A: Please see as attached.

Q: What should I include in the Safety and Risk Assessment Plan? A: In your layout plan, please mark out where you plan to park your ambulance and set up your first aid points. Your risk assessment plan should include a brief description of the activities at the event and identify the associated risk level. You can refer to a sample of the risk assessment below. A: Please include the number of cleaners assigned to your event. Note that the cleaners have to be deployed before, during and after the event to ensure the cleanliness of the event venue. In your submitted plan, please indicate the number of additional rubbish bins. For event expecting more than 1,000 people, portable toilets shall be provided. The organiser has to reinstate the rented area to its original condition and dispose all events related or generated rubbish off-site. Q: What should I include in the transport plan? A: Your transport plan should state the numbers of buses provided for the public, as well as their frequency between the Marina Bay MRT Station and Marina Barrage. If you allow your guests to drive to the barrage, kindly submit the number of cars that will be parking at the barrage.

Please also mark out your vehicular pick-up and drop-off point(s) in the layout plan. Q: What should I include in the setup/teardown schedule? A: If your vehicle needs to enter Marina Barrage for setup/teardown or to unload heavy items, please submit the following details: a) company name (including all subcontractors) b) vehicle number c) time of entry/exit However, we would recommend you to unload your pieces of equipment in the carpark and push them on a trolley. Application will be pending safety and security evaluation from PUB. FAQ - Tour Q: Can I include the tour at the barrage as part of my event programme? A: If you are interested to take your guests on a tour, please make advance online booking at www.pub.gov.sg/eservices/booking/pages/bookmarinabarragetour.ax. The tour at the barrage is complimentary. Each tour has a maximum capacity 80 pax. Our tour is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. For enquiries, please call Marina Barrage Information Counter at 6514 5959 during its opening hours. FAQ - F&B Q: Who are the in-house caterers at Marina Barrage? A: We have two F&B outlets at the barrage. They are Sembawang Eating House and Gallery Café. Contacts: Sembawang Eating House: Mr Neo (97586878) Gallery Café: Mr Richard Lim (96388047) Q: Are the caterers halal-certified? A: Both Sembawang Eating House and Gallery Café offer Halal-certified catered food. Q: Can I bring in my own caterers?

A: Yes, we have no restrictions on having external caterers but they will have to comply to Marina Barrage s requirements. Food and drinks are not allowed in the function rooms. FAQ - General Q: What are the half day time slots? A: The half-day slots are from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm. You are recommended to work within the allocated time to avoid being charged a full-day rate. Q: Can I tap onto the on-site electricity of the Marina Barrage? A: We have power points at both our indoor and outdoor spaces. However, for outdoor space, you will need to engage PUB s appointed Building Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) to turn on the electrical tapping point. Please refer to the tapping points below for more information. Details of tapping of power: The rates for electrical tapping are: below 32amp is $600 and above 32amp is $1,200. Payment should make payable to PUB s building LEW -PDsen Pte Ltd. Please contact Mr Tan Geok Eu at 97999717 or pdsen.kc@gmail.com at least 1 week before your event to arrange a suitable appointment time. Please complete Annex 1 and engage your own LEW to provide your SLD (single line drawing) and other necessary documents and submit it to PDsen Pte Ltd. Our officer will do a joint meter reading with you before and after the event to identify the electricity or water usage for your event. Following that, a bill will be sent to you. Payment will be deducted from your security deposit. Payment to PUB will comprise of the following:

o electricity /water costs (based on the quarterly revised tariff rates as listed on the Singapore Power website http://services.spservices.sg/cs_services_elec_latest-rates_frameset.asp) o 20% admin fee + GST Q: Is the rental charge inclusive of setup and teardown? A: We charge 50% rental on the day prior to and after your event for setting up and dismantling your stage or related items. Q: Will I be allowed to set up tentages? A: You need to apply for setting up of tentages in advance. Only Gazebo-styled tentages are allowed. Your application is subjected to approval and is at the discretion of the facility management. Q: Can I cordon off the area holding the event? A: You can cordon off the area using potted plants, queue poles or other form of barrier at your own cost. However, please ensure that the general public is not affected and are able to access other areas of the Marina Barrage. Q: Would we need to bring in our own tables, chairs, and other equipment? A: Organisers have to bring their own tables, and chairs, and necessary equipment required for the event. For indoor spaces, a standard set of tables and chairs are provided. Q: Are food and drinks allowed for the indoor venues? A: We do not allow catering in function rooms.. Q: Are we allowed to walk around freely in the areas we haven t reserved for our event? A: Marina Barrage is open to the public 24/7. You can enjoy the areas open to the public. Do note that the gallery opens from 9am-9pm expect for maintenance day on Tuesday Q: Are there any restrictions to the type of events or activities we can hold there? A: Please submit your application for our evaluation. Q: Are we allowed to reserve parking lots for our important guests? A: There are 150 parking lots in Marina Barrage. Parking is limited and on a first-comefirst-serve basis. We encourage event organisers/participants to car-pool or take public transport to this venue. Alternative parking is available at Marina Groove Carpark B.
