The Acoustic Absorber WAVE Design stands for a powerful, innovative and timeless design based on the aesthetic language of nature itself. An interdisciplinary team consisting of Claudio Hils, Prof. (FH) Dipl. Communication Designer, Thomas Petzoldt, Dipl. Ing. (TU) for Aerospace, Thomas Gruber Dipl. Ing. (FH) for Interior Design, as well as the SPÄH group, took it upon themselves to develop technically and optically perfect acoustic absorbers. The implementation of forms, in analogy to the wave, succeeded through a playful approach to soft, flowing lines, which reveal a wave structure, but vary it constantly. At WAVE Design, combining natural aesthetics with a specific functional application leads to a dynamic, yet subtle aesthetic language. The aim of WAVE Design is to improve the room acoustics under various conditions. It should bring about absorption, scattering and selective reflection as well as a combination of these effects. The product family currently consists of acoustic absorbers, partitions, sculptural objects and baffles. In addition to a wide range of possibilities to create exactly matched modules with the software, a serial product line was developed. The modular system with four different basic forms, the standard acoustic absorbers A, B, C and D, cover most acoustic requirements for interiors. The four standard forms are coordinated with each other and can be freely combined in order to create continuous structures encompassing several modules. The waveforms of the standard absorbers can be combined in a mirrored, repeated, broken or continued manner, thus offering an almost infinite number of variations. The WAVE Design product line has been named "Product of the Year 2014" by the pro-k industry association. It was followed by the Iconic Award from the Design Council as "Best of Best" in the product category, as well as the "SPECIAL MENTION" award at the German Design Award 2015. 4

The technology Effect The spatial form of the WAVE absorbers is complex and curved. All individual parts are made from commercially available panel material. Safety standards Unobjectionable use in schools and kindergartens thanks to certification in accordance with Öko-Tex Standard 100 The acoustic material is prepared without the use of halogenated hydrocarbons, flame retardants and / or toxic heavy metals.
