Who is Fire Security Systems For 25 years, Fire Security has been involved in Passive Fire Protection, mainly through Cable Coating in Turnkey offshore and marine Hydrocarbon applications. In 2012, Fire Security created Fire Security Systems a supply only based corporation, to open the market to its advanced Fire Protection Technology. With Offices located in Norway, Canada and the U.A.E

Fire Security Systems The Life of a Fire There are four stages in the life of a fire: Ignition fire growth period fully developed fire decay Combustion requires heat, fuel and oxygen. Fire growth is a function of the fuel itself, with little or no influence from the compartment (room) configuration. Given sufficient fuel and oxygen, the fire will continue to grow, causing an increase in the compartment temperature. When substantial heat is generated (500 to 600 C) flash over occurs and the fire becomes fully developed, engulfing the whole compartment. Decay follows when all the fuel or oxygen within the compartment is totally consumed.

Types of Fire Curves

What is Fire Protection? There are two (2) basic forms of Fire Protection: Passive Coatings, mortars, pillows, panels etc. Active Sprinklers, suppression, extinguishers etc.

Active vs. Passive Passive Fire Protection: Passive Fire Protection measures are intended to contain a fire in the fire compartment of origin (Compartmentalization), thus stopping the spread of fire and corrosive, fatal fuel gases for a limited period of time. There is no activation method required. Active Fire Protection: Active means that items or systems are 'activated' mechanically or electronically and require a certain amount of motion or 'activity' in order to function.

What is the Fire Security System? The FS (FIRE SECURITY) System consists of cable coatings, penetration seals and Steel Coatings which stop the spread of flame along cable systems, fire rate cable penetrations or Structural steel. The primary products within the FS System are: FS11 Inumescent Cable Coating & FS15 Ablative Cable Coatings FS Mortar, Panel, Pillows, Sealants and Collars FS Fire Rated Steel Coatings up to 2 hours (Interior and Exterior)

Why Passive Fire Protection? To protect People Assets Operation and Profit! There is always another supplier if you cannot perform Zero business Interuption To prevent flame spread to other areas To prevent the spread of corrosive, toxic gases and acids To adhere to national and company standards or the requirements of insurers To lower maintenance costs for facilities
