E-mail and Content Archiving For many IT organizations, compliance is driving requirements for e-mail and other content archiving and retrieval. Often, e-mail issues are the first compliance challenges to become IT requirements. E-mail archiving today is a matter of serious concern, primarily as a means of litigation support, but also as a result of Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory mandates which require e-mail to be retained and accessible for specific periods of time.
