BIBS UMUC PARTNERSHIP SiberianAmerican School of Management created in 1991 to house dual degree program. ISU and FENU first ins.tu.ons in Russia to create an interna.onal university program of higher educa.on at two ins.tu.ons accredited in the United States and the Russian Federa.on. Today SAM has dual degree programs with UMUC and the University of Southern Queensland, Australia School of Undergraduate Studies at UMUC is home of dual degree program.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE 1991 1999 UMUC sent 56 faculty yearly to teach Russian students. Structure: 2 + 2 + 1. First two years students take ISU courses; years 3 &4 students take UMUC courses; year 5 students complete specialist degree 2000 transi.on year, 3 + 1 + 1. First two years stay the same; year 3 Russian faculty taught UMUC courses with UMUC syllabi 2003 new MOU, change to current structure transfer agreement: UMUC accepts 90 credits of coursework from ISU; students take 30 semester hours (credits) or 10 courses from UMUC Russian and U.S. students are in same online classroom. Specialist degree no longer offered. 2012 Curriculum revised to incorporate changes in Russian curriculum with 3 rd Federal Standard and new UMUC curriculum

Our Graduates OOurO Since 1995, 527 Russian students have graduated with UMUC B.S. 5 students have graduated from master s program. Russian students graduate with important professional competencies: fluency in English, mastery of contemporary informa.on systems, and knowledge of interna.onal business prac.ces. U.S. employers see interna.onal educa.on as posi.vely contribu.ng to teambuilding skills among employees. Master s students have greater understanding of specific fields of business and greater exper.se. Dual degree program increases U.S. students knowledge of other cultures and global business. U.S. faculty also benefit from presence of Russian students in the classroom who provide important interna.onal perspec.ve about U.S. Economy.

Both BIBS and UMUC have won a number of dis.nguished awards. 2008 BIBS recognized as one of 1000 best business schools in the world by Eduniversal Since 2009 BIBS included in a series of important intergovernmental and federal programs of regional development as a business school to develop interna.onal business educa.on Sloan Consor.um awarded UMUC s online Master s in Biotechnology best online program in 2013. UMUC has won similar honors from SloanC, Maryland Distance Learning Associa.on, and Interna.onal Council on Distance Educa.on for MBA and MDE programs, training courses to teach online, and overall excellence in the field of open, distance, virtual and flexible learning
