7 Alliances for Graduate Educa2on and the Professoriate (AGEP) AGEP-Transformation - Strategic alliances of institutions and organizations to develop, implement, and study innovative evidence-based models and standards for STEM graduate education, postdoctoral training, and academic STEM career preparation that eliminate or mitigate negative factors and promote positive practices for URMs. AGEP-Knowledge Adoption and Translation (AGEP-KAT) - Projects to expand the adoption (or adaptation) of research findings and evidence-based strategies and practices related to the participation and success of URMs in STEM graduate education, postdoctoral training, and academic STEM careers at all types of institutions of higher education. AGEP-Broadening Participation Research in STEM Education (AGEP-BPR) - Investigator initiated empirical research projects that seek to create and study new theorydriven models and innovations related to the participation and success of URMs in STEM graduate education, postdoctoral training, and academic STEM careers.

8 ADVANCE (Increasing the Par2cipa2on and Advancement of Women in Academic Science and Engineering Careers) hrp:// Ins$tu$onal Transforma$on (IT): innova3ve and systemic organiza3onal approaches to transform ins3tu3ons of higher educa3on to increase the par3cipa3on and advancement of women in STEM academic careers. IT- Catalyst: ins3tu3onal self- assessment ac3vi3es, such as basic data collec3on and analysis and policy review, in order to iden3fy specific issues in the recruitment, reten3on and promo3on of women faculty in STEM academics within an ins3tu3on of higher educa3on. PLAN- Partnerships for Learning and Adapta3on Networks (focus on either IHEs or discipline areas) intended to promote knowledge- building about ADVANCE ac3vi3es and thus include a detailed knowledge building protocol to iden3fy and document the effec3veness of the ac3vity for achieving desired outcomes in par3cular ins3tu3onal and disciplinary contexts.

9 Centers of Research Excellence in Science and Technology (CREST) hmp:// CREST facilitates research projects in STEM disciplines with mul3- year, mul3- million dollar research centers at Minority Serving Ins3tu3ons. HBCU- RISE supports the development of research capability at HBCUs that offer doctoral degrees in science and engineering disciplines. CREST and RISE strive to strengthen the na3onal research compe33veness of minority- serving ins3tu3ons while increasing the recruitment, reten3on, and gradua3on rates of individuals from diverse backgrounds in STEM fields.

10 Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Par2cipa2on (LSAMP) hmp:// LSAMP assists universi3es and colleges in diversifying the STEM workforce through their efforts at significantly increasing the numbers of students successfully comple3ng high quality degree programs in STEM disciplines. Par3cular emphasis is placed on transforming STEM educa3on through innova3ve recruitment and reten3on strategies and experiences in support of groups historically under- represented in STEM. 18 Selected DGE Programs SFS- program provides educa3onal opportuni3es for Undergraduate Students, Graduate Students. This program provides indirect funding for students at this level or focuses on educa3onal developments for this group such as curricula development, training or reten3on. GRF- supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing research- based master's and doctoral degrees in science and engineering. The GRFP provides three years of support for the graduate educa3on of individuals who have demonstrated their poten3al for significant achievements in science and engineering. NRT- encourage the development of bold, new, poten3ally transforma3ve, and scalable models for STEM graduate training that ensure that graduate students develop the skills, knowledge, and competencies needed to pursue a range of STEM careers.

19 CyberCorps(R): Scholarship for Service (SFS) Scholarship Track: provides funding to award scholarships to students in cybersecurity. In return for their scholarships, recipients will work a`er gradua3on for a Federal, State, Local, or Tribal Government organiza3on in a posi3on related to cybersecurity for a period equal to the length of the scholarship.
