Introducing a quick-start path for OEMs to join the SmartEquip Network. SmartEquip is pleased to announce a new fast-track onboarding service for manufacturers seeking to join the SmartEquip Network. Called SmartEquip Fast-Track Onboarding, this service is available to OEMs who wish to make parts, pricing, shipping, and other aftermarket transactional information available electronically, and in real time, to fleet owners using SmartEquip e-fleetpro and e-procurement technology. It also enables these users to place electronic parts orders quickly and accurately with their suppliers. Standard onboarding services provide e-mail and FAX-based parts-ordering capabilities, and OEMs have the option to use additional service extensions as well, providing B2B/EDI-based and deep-integrated order capabilities. Overview A growing number of fleet owners, including rental companies, contractors, and dealer-managed fleets, are using SmartEquip technology to streamline the procurement of parts and services from manufacturers and their dealers, as well as to manage the maintenance, repair, and operational management of their equipment fleets. OEMs will pay a one-time processing and data conversion fee of $2,499, and on a monthly basis will be charged only when orders are transacted through The SmartEquip Network. Under this pricing scheme, the first 500 orders per month will be charged at $5.83 per transaction. Per-transaction costs decrease with each additional volume band, down to $1.67 per order for orders between 4,584-5,000 per month. Please note that SmartEquip gives manufacturers the option to switch to an annual volume commitment plan which will tie costs to fixed transactionvolume bands.
