TotalnumberofcoreITjobopeningsintheU.S.reachedover500,000forQ42013,accordingto BurningGlassTechnologiesLaborInsights. BrightoutlookforfutureemploymentgrowthincoreIToccupationsRRover20%inseveralcasesfrom 2010to2020accordingtotheBureauofLaborStatisticsRRsuchassoftwaredevelopers,database administrators,networkandsystemsadministrators,systemsanalysts,andothersincluding informationsecurityanalysts,webdevelopers,andnetworkarchitects. ThesefindingsimplythatITprofessionalswanttotakeanactiveroleinmanagingtheircareers,buildingtheir skillsetsandstayingaheadofnewtechnologies.studyresultsalsosuggestthatwhilemanycompaniesstill underinvestintrainingandprofessionaldevelopment,itseemstheyhavemadeheadwayoverthepastyear.
