TotalnumberofcoreITjobopeningsintheU.S.reachedover500,000forQ42013,accordingto BurningGlassTechnologiesLaborInsights. BrightoutlookforfutureemploymentgrowthincoreIToccupationsRRover20%inseveralcasesfrom 2010to2020accordingtotheBureauofLaborStatisticsRRsuchassoftwaredevelopers,database administrators,networkandsystemsadministrators,systemsanalysts,andothersincluding informationsecurityanalysts,webdevelopers,andnetworkarchitects. Average(median)salaryforIToccupations(over$76,000)ismorethandoubletheaverageforall occupationscombined(nearly$35,000),alsoaccordingtothebureauoflaborstatistics.for example,theaveragesalaryfornetworkarchitectsis$91,000.
