INTRODUCTION IVF Incubators For more than 20 years K-SYSTEMS has been developing IVF incubators of various types. In the early 90 s the first flat bed incubator the Mini-CO₂ incubator G80 were introduced. Successively this platform has been developed into our present and more advanced model the Flat bed incubator CO₂/O₂ G185 incorporating more advanced features. G185 LONG TERM FLAT BED INCUBATOR G185 The op mal incubator solu on for embryos and clinicians with G185 Stable ph levels are achieved through the combina on of K-Systems hea ng and gas control system The G185 ensures safe and careful incuba on, giving the best condi ons for op mal embryo development. Stable ph levels and osmolality of the medium during culture is ensured. The G185 is a non-humid incubator, which strongly minimizes the risk of fungal growth inside the incubator and makes it easier to clean. The use of the oil overlay helps separate the medium from the atmosphere and any airborne par cles or pathogens. G185 PH measuring is possible in the G185 SensorTech version by using an eternal system based on infrared monitoring, which unlike other systems ensure effec ve and highly accurate long term measurements without the need for cleaning. IVF WORKSTATIONS Working Principles and IVF Workstation Models The filtration system of IVF Workstations is designed to provide clean air in the work area. Each model of Workstations has a blower plenum designed to minimize air turbulences and eliminate dead air zones. The air flow pattern of the K-SYSTEMS workstations meets the relevant standards such as ISO 14644-1 or EN 12469 for Class II cabinets. The 100 Series are based on well proven fan technology in combination with a newly designed electronic control system. This allows for a low noise level, a balanced, vibration free and uniform air distribution giving a longer filter life. The air quality is compliant to ISO 14644-1 and adjusted to secure a safe and particle free work area. The 400 series are the entry model, with less standard features and are considered our low cost model. L 126 MP 16
IVF WORKSTATIONS The 200 series is mainly for IVF clinics where a potential hazard is involved when working with biological material from high risk patients. As a Class II cabinet the air flow pattern is complying to EN 12469 with a average down flow rate of 0.36 m/s (required 0.25). For detailed information see technical product information. Please be aware, once a stereo microscope or other large objects has been installed, the air flow becomes disrupted and the protection factor may be reduced. The front window with the integrated Eye Draught Protection improves the comfort when operating the stereo microscope. The smooth running and stable height adjustable system(optional) gives the operator the optimum working conditions, even when standing. The ergonomic shaped arm rests is designed for maimum operator comfort. The clear side windows, the glare free rear wall and the adjustable illumination of the work area are aid comfort in a daily work routine. The heat distribution is controlled in up to 5 different heating zones, and with the new Edge Enhancement, system cold edges are minimized when strong air flow is used. Calibration of each heating zone can be seen and adjusted at the main control panel. Each heating zone is individual calibrated with specialized software to monitor each zone and ensure a uniform heat distribution. The unique design of the Alu Heat systems ensures ecellent heat transfer to the samples and avoidance of temperature overshoot. The unit temperature is constantly being displayed on the front panel of the work area. The 90 millimeter clear glass heated light stage has integrated temperature indicator. IVF WORKSTATIONS Microscope, light sources and microscope stages. Practically any type of stereo microscope may be built into the table plate. The microscope stages are individually mounted for each type of stereo microscope. For installation of inverted microscope, a recess in the rear wall allows for ease of positioning. Anti-vibration mounts are available to optimize working conditions for the inverted microscope. The gas miture is humidified by means of a gas washing system with double digital flow meters and regulators for CO₂ mounted in the rear wall(the 100 series). To allow for maimum moisture, the surface of the gas washers is heated to 37 C and the humidified gas is etruded through nozzles in the table plate. In the 200 and the 400 series are used stand alone humidifiers with digital flow meters to adjust the CO₂ flow. The transmitted light source(optional) for the stereo microscope are located under the stainless steel table plate. Light and heated glass are controlled by a microprocessor. Used in L 100 Series Used in L 200/ L 400 Series The light source features two condenser lenses, and has a bi-directional mirror and adjustment for focus and light intensity to ensure precise illumination and optional color filters. The viewing panel of glas is designed to non disturbance of the air flow and easy to clean. The monitor supports most of the signals coming from modern digital cameras and supports DVI, HDMI as well as analog signals. Reduced air speed flow, auto start, auto stop are all standard features in the micro-processor controlled environment. Reduced air flow maintain the cabinets work area whilst not in operational mode.
