Data Governance To ensure controlled evolution of the CCHI Dictionary through identifying a clear ownership model and a process for proper change management
Governance Group Categories INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS CUSTODIANS Global owners of a data standard that maintain the integrity, development, governance and change management processes of their standard (e.g. WHO and ISO). NATIONAL STRATEGIC GOVERNANCE National organizations who ensure that the appropriate standards are selected to meet the business requirements of all stakeholders (e.g. CHS and SFDA) LOCAL COORDINATION/STEWARDSHIP Local committees within organizations responsible for the stewardship, implementation and compliance of adopted standards
Ownership of Data Standards Coding standards for the SHIB are currently owned by various agencies. The ownership matrix above provides the ownership for each domain.

CDGC Governance Responsibilities
National Coordination Coordinator to implement and agree the SHIB policies/standards Provision of a permanent CCHI member on the ECHS Align and support national policy and strategy Eliminate duplication of effort and data Seek action and authority for adoption of standards managed by specific ministries, councils and agencies Promote and communicate health insurance initiatives at a national level Seek to involve external agencies govt and non-govt, academia, professional societies, and other stakeholders to aid in the national development of the SHIB
Implementation Support Working with identified standards implementers - SFDA (NDC) and CHS (ICD10-AM) to address standards implementation challenges Provide direction on provision and licensing of agreed standards for use by HI stakeholders Developing and sharing lessons learned and best practices for implementation Close liaison and support to health insurance stakeholders with the implementation, promotion and training Identifying minimum professional standards to enhance quality and implementation of operations within the SHIB
CCHI Dictionary Maintenance Gathering, evaluating and implementing Requests for Changes (RFCs) to the CCHI Dictionary Ensuring the timeliness of version releases. The CDGC has the final say with regard to the content and rules of engagement for the CCHI Dictionary. Liaising with other local and national standards organizations to inform and sustain SHIB standards development and maintenance.
Terminology Services Authoring and maintaining terminologies to ensure alignment with terminology authorities (e.g. Regenstrief Institute Inc.) Maintaining the Arabic translation of specific terminologies this covers administrative areas only (not clinical) Recommending tools to map and browse terminologies The sharing of lessons learned and best practices providing guidance to support implementers in adopting and using the reference terminologies. (E.g. mapping)
International Representation Assisting in managing all affiliate agreements and intellectual property matters Coordinating solicited feedback from Saudi health insurance stakeholders on international ballots, as well as delegates who represent CCHI or national interests at international meetings Supporting the development of standards specific to the Kingdoms health insurance needs Close liaison and working relationships with Standards Development Organizations (SDO s) to understand their future direction, strategy and innovation and how this will affect the health insurance industry within the Kingdom
