Some case studies, largely based on consultancy experience, are used to integrate these topics and demonstrate to students how the various techniques are interrelated and can be applied in real-life situations.

Objectives This subject provides students with 2. the basic concepts of ERP systems for manufacturing or service companies, and the differences among MRP, MRP II, and ERP systems; 3. thinking in ERP systems: the principles of ERP systems, their major components, and the relationships among these components; 4. in-depth knowledge of major ERP components, including material requirements planning, master production scheduling, and capacity requirements planning; 5. knowledge of typical ERP systems, and the advantages and limitations

of implementing such systems.
