COMBINED FACILITY REPORT: ATLANTIC CITY CASINOS, 2012 CENTER FOR GAMING RESEARCH, APRIL 2013 Executive Summary In 2012, Atlantic City casinos had among them 1,629 table games, 26,991 slot machines, and 1,356,998 square feet of casino space. The distribution of these games and spaces is valuable information for those who study the industry. Collected here is a combined facility report for all Atlantic City casinos, with industry totals and the industry average in each category. In that year, 24 different table games were in use in the city s casinos, and low-denomination slots (penny, two cent, and nickel) proved to be among the most popular slot machines. Questions? Methodology This report features statistical information from all Atlantic City casinos, the industry total, and the industry average. It is a supplement to the annual Facility Reports published by the Casino Control Commission and Division of Gaming Enforcement. It captures data for the total number of games and devices, facility square footage, and revenue. Definitions Most of the definitions are self-explanatory; for tables and slots, the numbers indicate the numbers of registered devices at their respective locations. The Revenue and Square Footage charts, however, aren t completely self-explanatory. Here are the terms used there: YTD Table/Other Win: 2012 win reported for table games, poker, simulcast, and keno operations YTD Slot Win: 2012 win reported for slot machines YTD Total Win: 2012 win reported for all casino games and devices Casino Sq. Footage: Reported square footage of casino space as of December 31, 2012 Simulcast Sq.
