Quick Wins To deliver business benefit and test the principles and approaches being considered by the programme Shared Data Centre brokerage service: to demonstrate that sharing and reusing space in existing data centres is feasible, and to define the circumstances and processes through which this takes place Data Centre consolidation: to initiate early consolidation of existing supplier facilities and recommend to the CIO Council where consolidation should commence in advance of the strategic data centre proposal G Cloud pilot: to enable one or more public sector organisations to gain real experience of using a cloud infrastructure, and build confidence amongst public sector practitioners that this new approach is viable for meeting ministerial and operational business requirements Application Store pilot: to demonstrate the viability, and build experience of reusing existing assets Quick Wins launch day scheduled 13 Next Steps Complete high-level design phase deliverables Vision Transition Approach High Level Business Case Phase 3 Plan Launch the quick wins Monitor take up and usage of quick win offerings Incorporate experience into G-Cloud implementation Stakeholder engagement and support Programme has already engaged with stakeholders including Treasury.
