This will give your staff a modern, user-friendly interface with the ability to further expand your system as your needs evolve in future. All without breaking your legacy IT vendor contracts. Securely link together your IT systems THE HEALTHCARE INTEROPERABILITY PROBLEM Let s face it, most healthcare organisations run a cluster of legacy IT systems and paper processes that all do different things and were never designed to interoperate. Most hospitals have one system to book appointments, another to book lab tests and view results, another one to deal with A&E attendances, a separate system for viewing radiology images and yet another system for accessing radiologist reports. Data from one system usually can t make it across to another. At PatientSource, we believe staff shouldn t have to print out everything from one system and take the stack of paper next door to the where details then need to be copied into a different system. We believe that each member of staff should have one method of logging in and be able to have access to all systems from any one point. By connecting up systems and making the data within those systems accessible across the hospital we can free up staff time and make tasks, such as performing audits, easier than ever before. Many legacy systems were designed not to interoperate and the contracts were written to run for 10-20 years, meaning hospitals have no easy way out if they want to modernise their systems. PatientSource fully supports interoperability through the use ofinteroperability standards such as HL7 and an open API allowing all your systems, both existing and future, to be viewed within PatientSource and for data stored within those other systems to be view from within our single user interface platform. It is in patients best interests that their data flows seamlessly across all IT systems used in their care. This is a view supported by NHS England. Interoperability is in the best interest of staff who don t like wasting time having to log in to different systems and having to piece together fragments of information. PatientSource has been designed by clinicians to solve these challenges. Allows the move from awkward, repetitive data transfer and duplication to a streamlined integrated IT solution that includes existing systems

PatientSource can significantly improve a hospital s Clinical Digital Maturity Index OTHER Modules Available ecasenotes ecasenotes is an extremely powerful searchable electronic patient clinical record. It allows doctors, nurses and pharmacists to write free-text notes with an easy to use editor. It allows clinicians to sketch diagrams, and annotate any one of our thousands of diagram templates. It even allows clinicians to take photos of a patient and annotate those photos. Clients can create an infinite number of their own proformas that clinicians can then use as templates for notes. eprescribing PatientSource s electronic prescriptions module (eprescribing) replaces card drug charts. It increases patient safety by carrying out automatic checks on prescriptions and alerting clinicians to problems. eprescribing is driven by a British drug database and checks all prescribed drugs against known patient allergies, for drugdrug interactions and for the appropriate dose, route and frequency of administration. eobservations eobservations allows patient vitals to be automatically harvested from bedside monitors, recorded and plotted. Healthcare staff are alerted to worrying trends, and patient alerts can be automatically escalated to the next senior level until they are dealt with. Clinicians can check on the latest observations on their patients at any time from anywhere. Patient Administration (PAS) Your Patient Administration System is the underlying engine of your hospital. It keeps track of all your patients, admissions and your appointments. The PatientSource platform can operate on top of your existing legacy PAS, or completely replace it with something cheaper and far more user-friendly - PatientSource s own PAS. You can choose whichever suits you best. Investigations (CPOE) The investigations module pulls together all of your lab and radiology side systems to provide one central place where clinicians can make requests and view results. It works with all major Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), so reporting staff can keep using their existing backend systems should they wish to. edischarge edischarge tracks a patient from the moment they enter to the moment they leave your hospital. It allows patients to be discharged with discharge letters and medications where appropriate. By automatically inserting information from the drugs chart, investigations and casenotes, clinicians save countless hours. Discharge medications can be cross-checked by pharmacists and are subject to the same drugs database checks as our eprescribing module.
