2 AHSN core purpose health and wealth Licensed by NHS England for 5 years to deliver four objec:ves: Focus on the needs of pa?ents and local popula?ons: support and work in partnership with commissioners and public health bodies to iden:fy and address unmet health and social care needs, whilst promo:ng health equality and best prac:ce. Speed up adop?on of innova?on into prac?ce to improve clinical outcomes and pa:ent experience - support the iden:fica:on and more rapid uptake and spread of research evidence and innova:on at pace and scale to improve pa:ent care and local popula:on health. Build a culture of partnership and collabora?on: promote inclusivity, partnership and collabora:on to consider and address local, regional and na:onal priori:es. Create wealth through co- development, tes:ng, evalua:on and early adop:on and spread of new products and services.

We will build infrastructure and support the development of people to accelerate innova:on and early adop:on in our NHS partners that improves health and adds value, including funding clinical networks and developing teams for commercial development and innova:on adop:on to promote and accelerate change. Wherever it is possible we will ensure that the programmes, themes and resources support each other to maximise the chance of delivering against the four licensed objec:ves. 12 The Oxford AHSN cross curng themes Informa?cs The Director of Informa:on Strategy starts in April 2014 with a dual role across the Oxford AHSN and the recently designated Oxford AHSC, is intended to provide strategic leadership in linking core business goals through informa:cs and technology innova:on, whilst providing cri:cal contribu:on to the Oxford AHSN and OxAHSC partners strategies PPIEE The Oxford AHSN is working to embed partnership with pa:ents and the public across its work programmes. Each of the clinical networks and the Pa:ent Safety Academy are currently developing plans for PPIEE

14 Oxford AHSN Progress Mobilising our core team and recrui:ng a number of key individuals Funded 10 Clinical Networks that we are suppor:ng Established the Clinical Innova:on Adop:on programme (10 innova:ons per annum) Established the Con:nuing Learning programme with partner Health Educa:on Thames Valley Pa:ent Safety Academy and MScs for Evidence Based Medicine open to 8 Clinicians (medics, nurses, AHPs, Pharmacists and Healthcare Scien:sts) Developed Wealth Crea:on Strategy in consulta:on with key stakeholder groups Established strong links with LEPs part of the AHSN Partnership Board and we have agreed joint working to deliver the Wealth Crea:on programme Delivering PPIEE plans for each clinical network Produced a report, route map and event to support Medical App development and commercialisa:on Con:nued good stakeholder and public engagement via the sponsorship of and ajendance at a range of conferences and mee:ngs and a number of well ajended locality events
