3 1 Activate Vitalitydrive and qualify for IMMEDIATE REWARDS Vitalitydrive is available to all clients with comprehensive motor vehicle insurance for an extra premium of R60* per primary driver per month. As soon as you join, you qualify for rewards. Your rewards percentage depends on your, your cover and your driving behaviour. To earn up to 50%** of your BP fuel and Gautrain spend back each month, you need to: Activate Vitalitydrive by selecting it at quote stage or calling us on Install DQ-Track and link your Vitalitydrive card on when you receive it Earn and improve your Vitalitydrive status Maximise your rewards percentage Fill up at BP and swipe your Vitalitydrive card. And link your Gautrain Gold card on if you have one. Note: If you install the standalone DQ-Track, you ll receive your Vitalitydrive card on installation. If you install the smartphone-enabled DQ-Track and live in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town or Durban, you ll receive your Vitalitydrive card on installation. If you live outside these cities, you ll receive your Vitalitydrive card with your installation pack. Replacement Vitalitydrive cards will be available at your nearest Glasfit branch. *Essential Plan clients can select Vitalitydrive for an extra premium of R45 per primary driver per month. **Essential Plan clients can get up to 25% of their fuel spend back every month. 2 Improve your Vitalitydrive status, DRIVE WELL AND EARN DQ POINTS You can earn up to a maximum of every month and with up to 50% back on your fuel spend, you can get up to R800 back in monthly fuel rewards. Each DQ Point earned allows you to get rewards on R1 of fuel spend at BP and your monthly Gautrain spend (the money loaded on your card for the month). Here is a summary of the earning activities. 4 A. EARN DQ POINTS BY IMPROVING YOUR DRIVER BEHAVIOUR Driver performance score You can earn up to 850 each month for driving well. When you join Vitalitydrive, you have the option of installing either the smartphone-enabled or standalone DQ-Track in your motor vehicle. DQ-Track features leading global telematics technology and records your driving behaviour including your braking, acceleration, cornering, speed, time and distance of trips. If you install the smartphone-enabled DQ-Track, we ll also score you on your cellphone use while driving. You will be given a monthly driver performance score as a complete measure of how you drive. Depending on your distance travelled and DQ-Track option, it can take up to six weeks to determine an accurate score. Until such time, you will get 400 each month for your driver performance score. Your driver performance scores are updated each month with your latest driving behaviour, until your three month anniversary, thereafter your monthly driver performance score is based on your latest three-month period of driving behaviour. Note: Your driving information will not be used in any way at claims stage other than to confirm the time and place of an incident but you may ask us to use the information to help prove that another party was at fault. Your monthly driver performance score may be used as one of the factors in your Plan renewal every year. Personal goals You can earn up to 50 for choosing personal goals and reaching these goals on a monthly basis. Each quarter, we ll create a set of three goals for you for one or more of the following categories: speeding, acceleration, braking, cornering, night driving and your cellphone use, if you ve installed the smartphone-enabled DQ-Track. The goals will show the most important areas that you need to improve to become a better and safer driver. You will need to select one goal which will apply over the next three-month period. For example, you may log on to in January and see that you have three available goals in the areas of speeding, braking and night driving. You need to select one of these activities and reach the set goal to get personal goal points in the months of January, February and March. In April, you can choose a new goal for the next three-month period. You can choose your goal at any time during a quarter, but will only be able to get for the current and future months of that quarter. For example, if you choose a goal in February you will only be able to get personal goal points in February and March. If you reach your goal, you ll get 50 for that month and if you don t reach your goal, you ll get zero for personal goals in that month. If you earn a maximum driver performance score of 850 at the end of a quarter, you will have no areas for improvement and will automatically be given 50 for the three months of the next quarter. Claim-free years You can earn up to 200 a month by remaining claim free on Discovery Insure. You need to build up your claim-free experience with us to earn these points. If you are claim free for your first year, you will get 25 a month for the next 12 months or until you claim. By staying claim free for two years, you ll get 75 a month for the next 12 months or until you claim. If you stay claim free for three or more years, you will get 200 each month until you claim.

EARN DQ POINTS BY IMPROVING YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND AWARENESS Discovery Insure driving courses You can earn up to 150 per month for 24 months by completing our exciting driving courses: Progressive driving course You can complete a Progressive driving course and earn a total of 150 per month for 24 months. The Progressive driving course includes a dynamic two hour skidpan session. You can attend a four-hour course at a cost of R785, inclusive of VAT, or a five-and-a-half hour course, including an on-road practical session, at a cost of R945, inclusive of VAT. These courses are available in Gauteng only. The Refresher course (for motorcycles) You can complete the Refresher course and earn a total of 150 DQ Points per month for 24 months. This course is perfect for equipping new motorcycle riders with the correct riding skills and techniques to improve their safety on the road. Riders who need to improve their confidence on the open road will also benefit. The course consists of theory in the classroom and practical lessons. The theory session includes safety aspects and defensive riding tips on various scenarios encountered on our roads. All training takes place in a controlled environment. The Defensive driver training course You can complete the Defensive driver training course and earn a total of 150 per month for 24 months. During this course, you ll learn about defensive driving principles including vehicle orientation, potential hazards and threats and vehicle positioning, road signs and legal actions, correct driving procedures and general on-road safety. Practical on-road driving is included with an instructor carefully watching every manoeuvre. You ll learn about anticipating emergency situations, and how to handle these situations safely. This half-day course costs R1 598, inclusive of VAT. You ll earn 150 a month for 24 months for completing the course. It s available in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban. The Off-road introductory course You can complete the Off-road introductory course at a discounted rate, however, are not applicable. This course is designed to introduce you to the world of 4x4 driving, covering basic four-wheel drive systems and the latest electronic aids fitted to four-wheel drive vehicles. A 45-minute theory session will also cover basic vehicle setup as well as handling vehicles when venturing into off-road conditions. The following driving elements will be covered in theory and during a three-hour practical drive: hill ascents and descents, traversing a side slope, driving through ditches and rutted tracks, and deep water wading. All major road surfaces will be discussed with general driving techniques. This half-day course costs R1 598, inclusive of VAT. The course is offered at discounted rates and do not apply. It s available in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban. This half-day course costs R796, inclusive of VAT. You ll earn 150 a month for 24 months for completing the course. The course is offered in Gauteng only. The Proficient safety skills course (for motorcycles) You can complete the Proficient safety skills course and earn a total of 150 per month for 24 months. The Proficient safety skills course is directed at all current riders (new or experienced) who want to develop and improve their riding capabilities. This course teaches you the correct way to handle your motorcycle, so you can accurately apply all techniques for safer and more confident riding in emergency situations. Slow speed skills are also mastered for ultimate control in small spaces. The curriculum will include: braking, swerving and obstacle avoidance, steering and body position, slow riding techniques (figure 8 s and U-turns). This half-day course costs R796, inclusive of VAT, on weekdays, and R886, inclusive of VAT, on weekends. You ll earn 150 DQ Points a month for 24 months for completing the course. The course is offered in Gauteng only. The online driver training course You can log in to and watch a series of six five-minute video clips. Each clip is followed by an assessment, with a pass mark of 80%. You can watch each video as many times as you like and complete the assessments as many times as you choose to, however, will be capped at 100, which you ll receive every month for 12 months. You need to complete all six assessments to qualify for your.

6 Online driver assessment If you complete an Online driver assessment, you will receive 50 each month for 12 months. EyeGym You can earn up to 150 per month for 12 months by getting your eyes fit to further improve your driving behaviour. Fit eyes lead to quicker reaction times and better decision making especially in emergency situations. You can complete a Primary EyeGym course and earn up to 50 DQ Points per month for 12 months, available on at no cost. Thereafter, you can complete an Advanced EyeGym course, which will give you up to 100 per month for 12 months. This course is available at a cost of R350. EARN DQ POINTS BY IMPROVING YOUR VEHICLE SAFETY You can earn 100 by making sure your car or motorcycle is safe to drive by passing a Tiger Wheel & Tyre Annual MultiPoint check at a cost of R95. Tiger Wheel & Tyre will also check your service history is up-to-date, awarding you a further will be awarded each month for the next 12 months if the vehicle passes the check and has an up-to-date service history. By passing the Tiger Wheel & Tyre Annual MultiPoint check, you will automatically qualify for a higher rewards percentage, as explained in the next section. 3 Maximise your REWARDS PERCENTAGE Vitalitydrive gives you up to 50%* fuel rewards on your monthly BP fuel and Gautrain spend. When activating Vitalitydrive, you qualify for an up to 10%* fuel reward. To maximise this reward percentage to up to 50%*, you need to: ❶ Insure your household contents or building (for a minimum of R ), with your car on your Discovery Insure Plan and activate Vitalitydrive. ❷ Take your car to Tiger Wheel & Tyre and pass an Annual MultiPoint check. * Essential Plan clients and clients with Vitalitydrive for motorcycles, where the motorcycle is the only motor vehicle, get up to 25% of their fuel spend back each month. See the table for details. 7 4 Enjoy YOUR REWARDS With Vitalitydrive, you can enjoy the following rewards: EFA TWT Fuel rewards You simply need to swipe your Vitalitydrive card each time you fill up at BP and link your Gautrain Gold card on to start earning rewards. Fuel rewards are paid into your premium paying bank account in the following month. For example, rewards earned in January are paid in February. If there is more than one primary driver on your Plan, you will receive the total of all primary drivers rewards paid into your premium paying bank account each month. Limits, maximum fuel and Gautrain spend limits, terms and conditions apply. Excess Funder Account The Excess Funder Account enables you to boost your fuel rewards up to 100%. Tiger Wheel & Tyre You get a 10% discount on all purchases at Tiger Wheel & Tyre. DriveMe You have access to discounted, safe travel options at any time of the day with our three DriveMe partners Uber, Road Trip and Smart Guyz, available in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban. The Excess Funder Account 5 Star Days Win your fuel back when you fill up, for driving well on 5 Star Days. The Young Adult benefit Available to all primary drivers younger than 26 years who are on Vitalitydrive, the Young Adult benefit offers enhanced rewards for good driving. Every Discovery Insure client with comprehensive motor vehicle insurance, and who has activated Vitalitydrive, gets access to an Excess Funder Account. The Excess Funder Account is a dynamic tool to help you fund your motor vehicle excess in the event of a claim. You can choose to have your Vitalitydrive fuel rewards paid to you in cash or have it doubled and paid into your Excess Funder Account. The benefits of the Excess Funder Account ❶ You can opt in and out of the Excess Funder Account from month to month. When you opt in, the fuel rewards for all primary drivers on your Plan will be doubled and paid into your Excess Funder Account. When you opt out, the monthly fuel rewards for all primary drivers on your Plan will be paid into the premium paying bank account, and the funds you have accumulated will remain in the Excess Funder Account. ❷ You can build up funds to cover your motor vehicle excess in the event of a claim This allows you to pay for your excess on a car or motorcycle claim when the claim is higher than the basic excess. You can also use the Excess Funder Account benefit when your motor vehicle claim is less than any additional excess, whether you chose this or we applied it. However, the claim must be greater than the basic excess you need to pay according to your Plan. ❸ The Excess Funder Account benefit for a hired car excess Following an incident with a hired car you may use your Excess Funder Account for the hired car excess payable. You would need to settle the excess and claim it back from us. The excess is determined by the car hire agreement. ❹ You can withdraw cash from your Excess Funder Account after three years You have the option to withdraw cash from your Excess Funder Account after three years. For every R1 cash withdrawal, the Excess Funder Account value will drop by R2. Partial withdrawals are allowed. For example if you have R in your Excess Funder Account after three years, you can withdraw R5 000, after which your Excess Funder Account balance will be zero. After every three-year period, you will enter into a new three year cycle. The money paid into your Excess Funder Account during the new cycle can only be withdrawn at the end of those three years. The Excess Funder Account balance carries over from monthto-month and earns no interest. If your Plan or Vitalitydrive membership are cancelled, all funds in the Excess Funder Account will be lost. You will get a 10% discount on all purchases at Tiger Wheel & Tyre, except the cost of the Annual MultiPoint check (R95). This discount is limited to a total spend of R5 000 per transaction and a monthly limit of R DriveMe discounts With Discovery Insure, you have access to discounted, safe travel options at any time of the day with our three DriveMe partners Uber, Road Trip and Smart Guyz, available in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban. Using Uber Uber is a smartphone application that connects you to a private driver at the touch of a button. You get 25% off your Uber trips, subject to a total discount of R250 per month. Newly registered Uber users receive their first trip free, up to a R250 limit. To activate the benefit, simply SMS UBER and your ID number to from the cellphone number you have registered/will register with Uber. You ll receive a confirmation SMS. It will take up to 14 days for your discount to become active. It s really easy to use Uber. You need to download the app on your iphone, Android, Windows Phone or BlackBerry 7 smartphone. If you don t have one of these devices, you can access Uber on their mobi site, m.uber.com. The Uber app has several useful features. It can find your location via GPS, show you approximately how far away the closest driver is and you can select your desired car option. With Uber, all pickups are made on demand and drivers arrive within minutes, so there s no need to schedule a ride in advance. You re also able to rate your driver. You can use Uber 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Just open the app when you re ready to ride and it will connect you to a driver nearby. Using Road Trip and Smart Guyz By using either Road Trip or Smart Guyz to get home safely after a big night out, you can avoid more than an unpleasant hangover. Road Trip and Smart Guyz offer a range of 12-month subscription options to suit your needs. You ll be charged a monthly fee and will receive a discount off this fee, based on your current Vitalitydrive status: Vitalitydrive status Percentage discount Base 10% Neutral 15% Engaged 20% Advanced 25% You can also contact Smart Guyz at any time and pay a flat fee of R130 for assistance. The first 10 kilometres are included in this fee with normal tariffs applying for each kilometre afterwards. You will not need to register for this benefit and simply need to call Smart Guyz when needed. Smart Guyz will check that you are a Vitalitydrive member and accept cash only for this service. 5 Star Days Every day, we ll give away a tank of fuel to one of our best drivers. If you drive well on the day you fill up at BP, you ll be entered into a lucky draw and stand the chance to win back the amount you spent filling up. If you re a winner, the 5 Star Day reward will reflect in the Planholder s premium-paying bank account the following working day. We ll also give you the great news via SMS. Note: 5 Star Days is available to clients with the smartphone-enabled DQ-Track only. You will be entered into the draw if the majority of your trips during the day are rated as five stars. A trip is considered to be a five-star trip if there have been no harsh events (for example, acceleration, braking, cornering and speeding) as determined by Discovery Insure. You are eligible to win once in any three month period. Winners will be announced in our newsletters, including the Discovery Insure client newsletter and financial adviser publications, and on

9 The Young Adult benefit The Young Adult benefit is available to all primary drivers younger than 26 years on Vitalitydrive at no extra cost. Young adults will receive a Rewards Fund with a Rewards Card which they can start using after their first six-month cycle with Discovery Insure in addition to their monthly BP fuel and Gautrain rewards. Once they insure their car and activate Vitalitydrive with the Young Adult benefit, young adults will receive 25% of their car insurance premiums paid into their Rewards Fund upfront every six months (initial premium x 25% x 6). At the end of every month, the Rewards Fund will be added to or reduced according to the young adult s Vitalitydrive status at the end of that month as follows: Drivers can increase their Rewards Fund each month by driving well Classic and Executive Plans Essential Plan Base R-200 Base R-100 Neutral R0 Neutral R0 Engaged R50 Engaged R25 Advanced R200 Advanced R100 Drivers can increase their Rewards Fund each month by driving well. At the end of every month the Rewards Fund will be reduced according to the young adult s night-time driving kilometres. R10 will be deducted for every kilometre driven between 23:00 and 4:30. Young adults who use the DriveMe benefit will not have any night-time kilometres deducted from their Rewards Fund for kilometres travelled in their car by the DriveMe service providers. After six months, the balance in the Rewards Fund will be made available to the young adult on their Rewards Card for them to withdraw as cash or spend. The Rewards Card is a Visa accredited card that can be used at any store that accepts Visa. If at the end of six months the Rewards Fund has a negative value, this will be removed and the Rewards Fund will be set to zero for the start of the next six-month cycle. You can opt in or out of the Young Adult benefit at any stage from month to month. When opting out or leaving Discovery Insure, the money in the Rewards Fund will be lost. Note: The premiums of young adults who drive excessively late at night throughout any six-month period will be increased. All Vitalitydrive rewards will apply to riders of motorcycles who belong to Vitalitydrive, including the Young Adult benefit.
