1 Events: Past Events: In SS 2004 a series, South African Film Nights, was organized by Dorothea Steiner and Michela Borzaga; since May 2004, on every Tag der Offenen Tür, poster presentations are being organized featuring the current teaching program in "Intercultural Anglophone Studies and FOCUS SOUTH AFRICA" as well as the University of Salzburg's Foreign relations with Anglophone universities outside Europe. They were the notable author ANDRÉ BRINK and the 3 writer-critics ELLEKE BOEHMER, ISOBEL DIXON, and LEWIS NKOSI. Besides, scholars from Salzburg and South Africa (including many exchange students) presented their work in the fields of history, geography, philosophy, and theology. The Literature / Culture workshop (chaired by Dorothea Steiner) featured as speakers our departmental students Karina Dorn, Michela Borzaga, and Yi-heng Chen as well as linguistics student Martina Strommer.
