11 Technology & Laboratory Engagement All classrooms at Leon M. Goldstein High School are equipped with Promethean Boards and MacBook computers. Our school has several designated laboratory facilities and computer labs with touch-screen scientific instruments and software utilities to help prepare students for careers in science and mathematics.

12 Books and Educational Resources Leon M. Goldstein High School is one of the few high schools in New York City dedicated to supplying students with modern educational resources: hundreds of books ranging from graphic novels to test preparation guides as well as an avid peer tutoring program.

13 Science Department at LMGHS Leon M. Goldstein High School offers Advanced Placement Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. In addition, we offer all Regents science courses and several college-level courses in collaboration with Kingsborough Community College (College Now Science). Our school also offers electives which lead to careers in science and scientific research (Forensics, Organic Chemistry, Microbiology, Anatomy and Environmental Science).

Goldstein High School offers college-level Calculus AB, Statistics, Computer Science A, all Regents mathematics courses, and several college-level courses in collaboration with Kingsborough Community College such as Pre-Calculus and Analytical Geometry, Statistics, and Introduction to Computers and Applications. In addition, our school offers electives aimed at preparing our students for the 21 st century workforce (Robotics - hardware design, Visual C# Programming, Web Design and Advanced Placement Computer Science).

Goldstein High School offers Advanced Placement Human Geography, World History, United States History, Microeconomics and Government. We also offer all several college-level courses in collaboration with Kingsborough Community College (Introduction to Criminal Justice, Introduction to the Social Sciences, Constitutional Law). Goldstein High School also offers Advanced Placement Language and Composition as well as Advanced Placement Literature and Composition, as well as several college-level courses in collaboration with Kingsborough Community College (Drama I, Humanities).

Goldstein High School are encouraged to not only join clubs, but are empowered to start new organizations and projects that are aligned with their own passions and concerns. This has led to a club culture where more than fifty student-driven organizations are active during a typical week at LMG.

22 Student Volunteer Projects and Organizations Volunteering is one of the key characteristics defining our school with students being required to complete forty volunteer hours per year to graduate. This has led to the creation of dozens of student-run community service projects and organizations such as the Red Cross Club, the Technology Service Organization, the People to People International Club, our Key Club and the People Need Clothes Club.
