5 ICD-10 Education & Implementation Task Force Steering Committee (3 members) SCHIMA ICD-10 Trainers SCHIMA ICD-10 TF Volunteers Acute Inpatient Non-Acute Inpatient (i.e., psych, rehab, LTC, LTACH, etc.) Outpatient (Hospital & Ancillary) Physician Practice Non-Coder/ Closet Closet Coders (PFS, PAS, Quality, Case Management, etc.) CDI Management Topics Serve in variety of roles from event operations support to case record acquisition, specialty presentation development, etc. Four (4) AHIMA-certified ICD-10 trainers (one lead trainer + three regionally-based trainers) Minimum of two (2) trainers per in person program Minimum of two (2) trainers per in-person program Program delivery will include online optional foundation courses (prior to start of formal program), in-person lecture and workshop sessions (one and two-day formats), online assessments, on-going support from trainers via , telephone and LMS Curriculum progression and practice case selection will be driven in part by survey of state s hospitals for top diagnoses and procedures in Summer/Fall 2011 to focus on the specific needs of SC hospital providers Four-Day Boot Camp for those professionals who do not need the longversion program for their daily work or elect to start their training later will be offered in Columbia in July

7 Online Application Process Stringent t Candidate Qualifications: Minimum of five (5) years of verifiable, recent INPATIENT coding experience RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS (minimum one (1) of three certifications kept in good standing for entirety of commitment) Prefer Associate degree and prior coding teaching/training experience Position Responsibilities shared on application include but are not limited to: Ability to travel overnight and attend 4 day AHIMA ICD 10 workshop Ability to travel overnight and attend 4 day AHIMA ICD-10 workshop. Ability to be out of office minimum one day per month to plan, develop and teach regional workshops. Ability to attend SCHIMA Board Meetings as requested Ability to develop practice coding exercises with answers for ICD-10 coding workshops and roundtables. Develop course/program evaluations Create assessment tools to measure audience knowledge level. Develop topic specific course from developing learning objectives, course outline, and detailed course content. Prepare Power Point presentations and handouts for educational sessions. Ability to speak in front of large groups. Ability to respond to audience questions verbally and via . Demonstrate creativity, flexibility and leadership. 7
