17 Why Consider Short-Term Disability Insurance? Disabilities happen. If employees miss work due to an injury or illness, short-term disability insurance can help replace a portion of their lost wages while recovering. Most injuries and illnesses are not long-lasting, and employees will likely be back at work quickly. In the meantime, their regular paychecks could stop. If that happens, the replacement income from disability insurance will be a big help. Some conditions that could lead to a disability claim include illness, childbirth, injury and surgery. Key Product Features Employees choose a benefits amount up to 60 percent of their income Benefits are in $100 increments up to a max of $3,500 Benefits are tax-free Innovative employers understand that disability insurance is both a benefit and a health and productivity tool. Partial Disability Benefit If you re only able to do part of your job or work part-time, you can receive partial benefits. With your part-time earnings and your partial disability benefit, you could receive up to 99 percent of your pre-disability earnings. Rehabilitation Assistance Benefit While you are participating in an approved rehabilitation program, we can pay an increased benefit to you. You don t have to pay premiums while you are disabled. 18 Why Consider Identity Theft Coverage? Most victims experience stress in their family lives as a result of displaced anger and frustration over identity theft. Did You Know? In 2012, there were 12.6 million victims of identity theft in the United States, which equates to 1 victim every 3 seconds. The average identity theft victim will lose $4,841. The average victim will spend 330 hours repairing the damage from identity theft the equivalent of working a full-time job for more than two months. 12 percent of identity theft victims end up having warrants issued in their name for financial crimes committed by the identity thief. For more information, please visit our website Thousands of public and private databases are scanned looking for evidence of identity theft. The patentpending process can help detect identity theft early, before it causes real harm. Underground websites and other online sources are scanned daily, making sure Social Security numbers and credit card numbers aren t being bought or sold on the black market. If anything is found, certified experts step in to put a stop to it, doing all the work necessary to restore the compromised identity. Simple Administration: Turn-key materials for easy enrollment, as well as ongoing support to your HR team throughout the year. Highest Quality Service: ID Watchdog s service is widely regarded as best-in-class, offering the broadest identity monitoring capabilities and the only 100 percent resolution guarantee in the industry. 19 Why Consider Legal Coverage? This legal plan gives you resources you need, tools to use and choices you want everything to protect yourself and your legal rights. Financial security does not exist without a strong legal foundation. Everyone must take reasonable preventive legal care and, at times, deal with unexpected, stressful and complex legal issues. Each year, as many as seven out of ten employees require legal advice. Hidden beneath the surface is the effect that unassisted management of these issues has on life, relationships and work performance. Employees with a group legal plan use it more than once and are more inclined to consult an attorney than those without. Sample Coverages Included Coverage Limits Attorney Consultations - Up to one hour per legal matter Covered Unlimited Attorney Letters - At the discretion of counsel, one letter on your behalf per legal matter Attorney Document Review - Review of one legal document (up to 6 pages) per legal matter Covered Covered 3 Per Year Unlimited Attorney Service (Other) 33% or more off Unlimited Online Personal Legal Documents Covered Unlimited Online Legal Filing - Filings for non-personal legal matters are limited to one of each type 50% or more off Unlimited Online Legal Document Management Covered Unlimited Online Case Management Covered Unlimited Online Legal Guides & Information Covered Unlimited All personal legal matters are included: Wills, trusts & estates Family & divorce Vehicle & driving Money & debt Real Estate & home Civil disputes Criminal defense Accident & injury Consumer protection Immigration Plus discrimination, sexual abuse, education, disability, probate, appeals, privacy, defamation, construction, social security, malpractice, healthcare, civil rights, animals, elder and more.
