5 Introduction Welcome To Creating Unstoppable, Out-Of-Control Viral Marketing Campaigns in 2014/15. I got sick of all the viral marketing books being banded around being totally outdated. Most of them referring to scripts that helped with viral marketing that were written in 2007 and quite frankly didn t work on today s modern servers, and even if they did the methods they used were so old there would be little point anyway. So in this report I m going to quickly spill the beans on MODERN viral marketing techniques (and some old ones that still work well today) and how to utilize them to build your lists, pull in product sales and generate a ton of commissions online! I know a bloke who is currently pulling in over $2000 a month on autopilot using nothing but viral traffic. And it s quite possible to make a lot more than that. The point is if you want to quit your day job or boost your existing online profits with hardly any outlay Viral Marketing, when done right is golden

6 When coupled with other marketing methods, like buying the odd solo ad to kick start a viral promotion it can make for a literally unstoppable traffic machine. 7 Why Viral Marketing? Here are a few reasons why viral marketing is very important! Leverage On Other People s Lists Internet marketing gurus often talk about building your mailing list. This is because that is where the long term money lies. Most of the time, some Internet marketers will beg other marketers (especially those with a bigger list size) to promote their products, do an ad swap or help them to build their own lists in general. But what if, instead of relying on YOUR OWN LIST, you were able to somehow LEVERAGE other people s lists? In the often ugly world of Internet marketing, there s always someone who has a bigger list than you. And why do they maintain these lists? Because they market products to their list. Therefore These people are always looking for stuff to promote! - 7 -

8 This is why on my blog and in my other reports I am forever pushing people to create their own products. If you re a creator then you have an instant advantage over all the guys who are just pushing affiliate products and stuff they got resell rights to. Now if you create products (such as master resell rights or no restriction private label rights products) and give them the rights to sell YOUR products with YOUR ads in it, you will be getting constant advertising for FREE and people are doing it WILLINGLY for you! This should be blindingly obvious yet I check out resell right products all the time and find so often that the author has omitted any form of link back or advertisement for themselves! It s like someone has said hey make resell products to sell and make money and forgotten the single biggest benefit, which isn t the instant cash they make from sales, but the ads that drive people back to their site, and their list. Viral Marketing never stops working but because it s not the newest shiniest object on the block people lose sight of its immense power. After all, when you promote a product to your list, it is still limited in the sense that you can only mail your list once or twice, but having your products being promoted all over the Internet, will take the burden off the lists and give you additional streams of income

9 The Power Of Exponential Growth This is what makes Viral Marketing so special and so powerful. Too many people choose to neglect the power of viral marketing because they have this misconception that it yields very little at the start. That is a short sighted view. I get where it comes from though; They feel that they would rather promote their products by themselves rather than share the product with other resellers. The same applies with blog posts. (See the section on blogs and themes later). Let s do a little maths (don t skip this if you think maths is boring!) I remember when I was a young teenager (despite that being so long ago) someone gave me one of those puzzle questions: If someone came to you and offered to do one job each day for 30 days and you could choose a payment plan, which would you go for? 1) Each Job costs you $5 flat rate. 2) The job on day one costs one penny, then on day two the job will be two pence, and simply doubling up each day. If we let this go through to 30 days under payment method 1 you would pay over $10million compared to $150 under the flat rate method. Now think about the exponential growth of a viral marketing campaign that takes off? One pair of eyes leads to two, to four and so on. And in many cases one person will pass it on so it is seen by five or six, and each of those will show it to a bunch more. Look how much money was raised for ALS recently with this crazy ice bucket challenge. The genius behind it being that each person that did it nominated between 2 and 5 friends who had to do it. Even allowing for those who didn t join in, each successful challenge lead to at least two more. In fact within a couple of weeks it was harder to find friends who hadn t been nominated than it was to find people who had! Are you seeing the tremendous power of viral marketing? Whether you are getting one new subscriber a day or one sale a day, you will be able to generate lots of traffic just by viral marketing alone!

11 Now to be realistic, even with the UNLIMITED growth potential on the Internet, there will come a time where there is a saturation point. But it still doesn t dispute the fact that there are millions of customers (and many resellers) that will market for you and expand your efforts FOR YOU! It is always a good idea to build several viral marketing channels. That way, even when your viral campaign starts to slow down (due to saturation), you will still be able to leverage on many channels and build your list or your affiliate commissions. In the subsequent chapters, we will explore a few tools, both free and paid sources that will enable you to build several viral campaigns and watch as traffic beats a path to your virtual doorstep!

12 Tell A Friend Viral Marketing One of the easiest forms of viral marketing is by telling a friend. But simply bunging a tell-a-friend script on your site won t make the exponential growth we are seeking happen. You see, telling a friend will work virally under three conditions: The sender has something to benefit from it The receiver has something to benefit from it The method of sending the link/info is EASY TO FACILITATE!

13 Back in 2007 Mike Filsaime made a fortune selling a script called Viral Friend Generator. You can still find it for sale today and pick it up from as little as $30, but it s outdated code, it s hard to get working and frankly someone could have a red hot product if they remade that for the latest PHP versions, etc. The best tell a friend system out there today is the Super Tell a Friend system that not only lets people tell friends by , but it can search their account for them and pick people out! It also does various social sharing and has multilevel rewards so if they refer more people they get extra gifts. Check out the free demo here. As you can see from the demo all three conditions get met without spamming or breaking any internet laws. When all three conditions are met, the campaign becomes viral mission accomplished! If you spend a little time on Google you will find dozens of old tell-a-friend scripts, but anything more than five years old that hasn t been kept updated probably is going to be tricky to make work, and probably doesn t comply with the latest regulations online. Whatever you script or system you end up using, just be sure that it meets the criteria listed on the previous page. Otherwise you re wasting your time

14 Master Resell Rights Viral Marketing What s the big deal about master resell rights? Well, simply put, you are able to create a digital product and the owner of the product has the rights to resell the product for any price that they want. The resellers will be doing promotions for you and spread your name all around the Internet. Not only that, they will not be able to alter your book in anyway, they will just sell it in the current form. Here are 2 ways you can create a huge viral campaign out of MRR products: Write your own (or hire a ghostwriter) product and give MRR rights. Find somebody else s MRR product with re-branding rights and place your own affiliate links. Later on, place those products on well-known membership sites like Resell Rights Weekly (the membership has thousands of visitors so traffic is almost guaranteed). But there are massive mistakes so many MRR sellers make that make me cringe and in some cases come close to making me want to gouge my eyes out

15 You see most people who hunt down resell products are lazy. They want everything on a plate. So it is no good to just hand them the product with your ads in it. They need to be given the sales site, graphics, etc. The more you give them to make it EASY for them to sell the more viral it is likely to go. Especially if you include the rights to sell the resell rights and all the same things you give them. And thanks to sites like Fiverr.com you can find people who will create a set of mini-site graphics and e-covers for you cheaply. If you re not the best at writing sales copy just knock something up using one of the sales letter writer systems that exist out there such as (in fact if you use that one, pop in the exclusive coupon code viral2015 at checkout for an extra 30% off!) Using a tool like that will create a good enough outline sales letter for the resell rights buyer to start from (and some will use it as-is). Marry that up with some Fiverr graphics and for next to nothing you ve just increased the viral power of your master resell product many times over. It s these extra steps that are the extra mile that others don t do. Seriously take a look down the products on Resell rights weekly and look how many say No under includes sales page. That is a huge mistake. Too many master rights sellers make the rights too restrictive too. Keep in mind why you are offering the rights to begin with!

16 Private Label Viral Marketing When it comes to buying products with rights everyone knows that PLR is always the best to look out for as they let you do (almost) anything you like with the product. Even PLR has some restrictions though, things like non-transferable rights or not allowing you to use the product in a bundle/firesale or as a bonus (just like certain resell rights). But the massive advantage of NO RESTRICTION private label rights is that the buyer also can SELL the private label rights of the book hence you let the book go viral almost immediately! And again if you go the extra mile and give them the sales letter, site graphics, e- covers, and the like it can take off super quick. Do you know what this means?

17 Reseller after reseller selling the best rights to the book all across the Internet! This is the best way to get your affiliate links or promotions all over the Internet very quickly! But wait there s a pitfall! What happens if the resellers EDIT the contents of the book? Doesn t that reduce the effectiveness of the viral effect? Yes. But you have to keep a couple of things in mind here. Firstly as pointed out previously human beings are LAZY. An awful lot of buyers will just cut and paste the sales letter and sell the products as-is because it s too much work for them to redo the content. Also you can always make it a part of the terms that if they sell PLR they must sell it in the unedited form. This at least forces those selling the private label rights to pass the product on as it is. Sure you ll still put it in the hands of people like me who never sell PLR as-is but guys like me are in the minority

18 The majority will all sell the products most likely in the ORIGINAL FORM. The massive upside is that PLR often sells faster than master resell rights and if you embed your affiliate links or promotions carefully, it will give resellers a LOT of resistance when they try and edit your book. But as with MRR, go that extra mile. I see PLR products all the time where the only upside the author had was off initial sales. That s plain short-sighted and bordering on dumb! Think about what you look for in a good product and make sure you deliver it. There s no point passing on the rights if everyone who checks it out writes it off as a crappy product. Look for resellers who sell No Restriction PLR products and contribute to their packages if you want to achieve the ultimate viral effect. One of the most successful pieces of PLR I put out was given to my (at the time small) list for free, but they had to sell it. I tell you when a few hundred or even a few dozen get a product for free that has real value (proved to them because they and all subsequent resellers MUST charge for it) it ignites like gas!

19 Blog & Theme Viral Marketing One of the other ways to create a viral marketing campaign besides using or reselling E-books is to use blogs and blog themes to market yourself. Now I ll be totally honest here, out of all the methods I m covering in this report, this is one I don t do myself. Not because it s not a great idea, I just prefer using the others. But I hit up a close friend who gets tons of traffic this way and he told me the simple process he uses:

20 Here is a three step process that will allow you to get lots of traffic to your website: (1) Approach a high traffic blogger and ask if you can be a contributor to their blog for a particular blog post or topic. (2) Write an EXCELLENT blog post that will get people s attention (especially on these high traffic blogs). (3) Leave a bio box or a link that traces back to your own site. Now, the question you may ask is, why don t you reserve the best content for your OWN blog? Wouldn t that brand you better? That is actually selfish thinking! Good things must be shared. And of course High traffic blogs give you more exposure! If you have a blog that has low traffic, it will not reach out to many people but if you give your content away to others, high traffic will get you noticed and if they LIKE your blog post, they will spread the word (using social bookmarking sharing) and you will get a lot of traffic to your site very quickly! You can also design your own blog theme and give it away for free! One thing wonderful about free blog themes is that if it is given away for free and it is used by someone s blog, a few things can happen: They upload your blog theme and there is a backlink to YOUR site. Those who upload your blog theme will be able to follow a link from the Wordpress Presentation Theme and you can promote yourself even from there. People will recommend your blog theme if it looks beautiful!

21 Need PLR Blog Themes? There s over 50 at last count in the members area of Resell Rights Weekly. You can also get themes made for you by outsourcing them (I have even found people who can do it on Fiverr, not for $5 but for under $50). There is also a cool piece of software called Artisteer that lets even the clueless make themes for Wordpress and Joomla - it has a neat feature where you can click to randomize parts of the design so you can literally have it make a theme for you, slap your link in it and go

22 Social Networks Viral Marketing This is actually the only form of viral marketing that gets any attention by product writers these days. Anyone would think you can only do viral marketing on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube! Video is one of the hottest ways to get something viral going these days. Especially with people passing video clips around on Facebook and Twitter. Remember the video called Numa Numa who had this guy lip-syncing to a song it was one of the MOST VIRAL VIDEOS of all time. The owner of the site had TONS of traffic flooding into his site everyday and people everywhere WANT to imitate him and do their own parodies of the Numa Numa Dance as well. Another good example is the Diet Coke & Mentos scenario

23 When you have something interesting, funny or extreme, people will tend to share it with their friends through forwarded s, and social media but in the case of Internet marketing, you can do a lot more if you play your cards right. The hard part about capitalizing on a viral video is getting the people who watch it to actually visit your site, check your product out or best of all subscribe to one of your lists. I have found a couple of effective tricks you can use to help with this. Use Headline style writing in your annotations. If you use YouTube make sure you put links in your description, and also add a message and link using annotations. These are the boxes that pop up while the video is playing. The trick is to effectively use a headline as the pop up message. Something that grabs the viewers attention and makes them WANT to click. It s no good putting please visit my site. There are some awesome tools for sale (quite cheaply) that will give you ultimate control over your video, let you put opt-in forms, your own ads and much more right inside the video and they have social sharing built in. The two best ones in my opinion are VooPlayer and Video Nova, both do an awesome job so I would go for whichever has the best deal at the time (this flips back and forth)

24 These achieve a few things. First they get that viral traffic coming to your site and not YouTube, Vimeo, etc. And secondly they give powerful ways to capture addresses, put offers in front of viewers and much more. Hooking the viral potential of image sharing. The other massive viral sharing phenomenon that occurs on Facebook is image sharing. But hardly anyone is really getting the full benefit from it because they just share an image. It makes more sense to share an image in such a way that when the user clicks on it they get diverted to your site to see it properly. There is an uber cool tool called WP Image Redirect. The latest version includes is being majorly sold on the social calls functionality. But in short this lets you share a picture but have total control over what happens when someone clicks on it. And with the new version you can control what happens if they are on a mobile device, even get it to make a call, start a skype action, start a text message, etc. It s not widely known about at the moment and to be honest I think some of the big guns in marketing are not mentioning it so it stays that way!

25 Viral Software Marketing I couldn t write a report on viral marketing without discussing the field I am best known for. Creating hot selling software without programming! This isn t just a plug for my products (to be clear - it is a plug, but it s not just that!), it is still one of the number one things I do in my own business, these are products I created, but I use them all the time myself. You see, I ve had massive success using software to build lists by giving it away and letting it go viral. Whether it s simple dashboard type software made using icurator Pro or something more functional using Software Product Magic, both give you the power to capture addresses AFTER the product has been downloaded in order for the user to get a license key

26 Because software has a far higher perceived value it makes it easier to get people to download it. The trick is to tie in some ideas I ve given earlier in this report and link them into software. For example, one of the most effective viral campaigns I ran involved giving away a piece of software. Because it was free I could list it on freeware, and download sites. That gets an initial bunch of people downloading it and each needs to register so they can use it and at that point they are on my list. There are literally thousands of these sites out there, it just takes a google search and a little time to submit to them. And that is something you can easily outsource very cheaply if you don t want to do it yourself. Via auto responder they are followed up asking how they are getting on with the free software and offered an upgrade to a Pro version for free if they ll just tell three friends about it (tell a friend script). The friends they tell are sent to a download link for the basic version and now they are in the same follow up sequence. When someone downloads the Pro version there is a one-time offer for a Pro+ or Elite version, for a today only price of just $17. So I am monetizing the sequence early on. Anyone who buys gets moved from the list they are on to a buyers list. This means anyone still on the original list after a few days has not gone for the $17 upgrade. So I keep reminding them, offering it again and eventually offer it to them for $7. And of course all the people on the lists get followed up and offered other things. And everyone who buys gets told about my affiliate program that pays 100% commission on the $17 product and they can make money by GIVING software

27 away. Sure I give up the income at the low end of the funnel but I get lots more takers and lots more buyers on MY LIST. 28 Viral PDF Reports. This one is so old that it s new again, and it s something I ve never stopped using since I first came across the idea in a slightly different form way back in 2002! And the truth is, a lot of big name marketers have never stopped using this principle to make their affiliate programs go viral, but they stopped mentioning it in reports, books and courses because it stopped being a sexy topic. And because it stopped being something bright and shiny, most of the scripts that exist are out dated and don t even work with modern versions of PHP (much like what happened with Tell-a-friend). But here s how this simple idea works. 1) You have a free report that drives traffic to a product you have for sale. 2) You give affiliates their own unique copies of the report with their affiliate links embedded into it so they can give it to subscribers and it will promote their affiliate link for them. 3) You have other people passing the report around like crazy because they stand to earn commission!

29 But you don t want to have to make a special version for every affiliate, so you need a hands-off automatic way to do it. Ten to fifteen years ago you would have been spoiled for choice when it came to finding a script that did this. But these days it s tough to find one that works. Many of the ones that were used years ago relied on a program you had to download in order to brand the report. That s no use today with so many non PC users who are potential affiliates. There are some older scripts that still seem to work today, and if you re Ok with PHP and MYSQL databases they would give the cheapest way of doing this. For everyone else, and those who just like an easy life there is the fully hosted solution at You can even cash in on this idea if you don t have your own product. Simply do a PDF that mainly promotes one product and sell rights to it cheaply (like $5 - $10 cheap) where they can rebrand putting their aff links in for the main products metioned. But you still maintain links to other products and maybe stuff in the resources section. Or it offers another free report that sends people to your squeeze page, so every copy that goes out drives subscribers to you

30 Summary. Remember that the ultimate goal of Viral Marketing is to leverage on others through the power of the Internet! Here is a recap of what we ve learnt: Viral marketing is without a doubt, one of the most powerful ways to drive traffic. Remember the law of exponential growth!
