1 Field Office Software Suite Overview 2014 Edition Unifying operations and engineering across all well types for total field optimization.

2 Overview of Field Office Software Suite The Field Office software suite is a progressive concept of consolidating operations and engineering with unprecedented depth in individual applications to give operating companies a path toward total field optimization. Weatherford introduced the Field Office initiative to help exploration and production companies optimize production across all well types (naturally flowing or artificially lifted) in every producing basin in the world. Significant additions to our artificial-lift analysis workbench (AWB) functionality address the fast evolving requirements in shale gas and liquids production. The primary goal of the Field Office suite is to assist operators and engineers in optimizing producing assets. The suite combines real-time and mathematical simulation models to minimize lifting costs and downtime. In the continuing effort to provide the ultimate software for production optimization, we add features to the suite each year in response to customer needs and industry evolution Weatherford. 3 Field Office Software Suite Overview Newin the 2014 Release The role of unconventional fields is now widely known in the oil and gas industry. Though the oil production from shale and heavy oil fields has increased significantly in the last few years, the industry still faces challenges in extracting oil and gas from such reservoirs: the rapid production decline during the first year or selecting the right form of artificial lift at the right time to lower CAPEX and OPEX. The Field Office 2014 release offers multiple functionalities to help operating companies manage their production efficiently. Heavy-oil correlation, shale model for pressure transient analysis, and progressing cavity pumping (PCP) support for coalbed methane (CBM) wells are just few of the many new functionalities we have added specifically to optimize unconventional wells. Reservoir, production, and process engineering teams play a pivotal role in managing oil and gas fields throughout their life, and many exploration and production companies are fostering a collaborative working environment between these teams to improve operational efficiency. The significantly enhanced reservoir engineering module of Field Office 2014 suite ensures that both production and reservoir engineering teams access the data from a single source. It also enables reservoir engineers to receive notice of production-related events and alarms and then to view the reservoir properties based on those alarms. The daily comparison of actual versus forecast production numbers ensures that the reservoir model is history-matched at the right time with the right data. Field Office 2014 also includes a new user interface for three key engineering applications: ReO, DynaLift, and MatBal software. Based on the feedback received from our worldwide customer base, we improved the workflow of these applications for efficient model building and analysis. On the following pages, selected new features are highlighted for each application. We are confident the Field Office software suite represents the most complete system available for production operations and optimization Weatherford. All rights reserved. 3

4 The Enterprise Operations Platform Pulling it all Together The Enterprise Operations Platform (EOP) provides a unified information system by efficiently communicating with field devices, software packages, and third-party systems. The advanced infrastructure design reduces IT time and effort, enabling customers to rapidly realize the benefits of asset optimization, performance analytics, and KPI tracking delivered from Field Office applications. The design and engineering applications available on the EOP integrate and use data to support a wide range of functional capabilities essential to delivering optimal production. We designed the EOP to scale management from a single well to tens of thousands of operational wells. It has already proven successful across more than 250,000 producing wells on which applications for surveillance, production measurement, and production optimization are installed. The Field Office application suite for production is an integrated solution for engineering, operations, and optimization Weatherford. All rights reserved.

20 DynaLift Dynamic Gas-Lift Simulation Gas-lift unloading is a transient process. The goal is to remove the kill fluid from the well and achieve the operating condition planned in the gas-lift design. Traditional workflows do not take this important aspect into account. Based on the continually changing characteristics of a producing well, transient simulation of the liquid unloading process identifies issues with the proposed design that may affect stable operation. Performing this process and evaluation before physical equipment is installed ensures optimal design and cost alignment. DynaLift software simulates the dynamic behavior and characteristics of the gas-lift unloading process. It uses the transient modeling of flow in both the wellbore and the reservoir. The DynaLift application identifies design and operation issues that result from multipoint injection, injection through shallower valves, and unstable flow conditions. The software is an integral component of the well engineer s design and optimization toolkit. 26 Overview and Benefits of Analysis Workbench The majority of oil and gas wells operated throughout the world require some form of artificial lift during their life cycle. Selecting the right lift technology requires detailed analysis including pressure loss from inflow to wellhead; gas, oil, and water property predictions; and variations over time in gas and oil ratio and in water cut. The WellFlo module of the Field Office suite helps engineers select and design the best lift technology for any well type whether it is producing heavy oil or gas with a high amount of water, or medium API oil with low reservoir pressure. Monitoring and optimizing the artificial-lift system is as important as selecting the optimal lift technology, because improper operation of the lift system generally leads to higher OPEX and subsequently to additional CAPEX. Downhole and surface sensors are typically used for monitoring because they provide valuable information about lift performance. However, that information is not always sufficient to determine whether the well is running at the highest possible efficiency. Accurate calculations require a sophisticated mathematical model to capture physical and chemical processes occurring during the lifting process. Artificial-lift AWBs developed by Weatherford for all lift types (RRL, ESP, gas lift, and PCP) are based on detailed nodal analysis calculations coupled to lift performance variables. These calculations convert real-time data collected by the sensors into high-value information and intelligent alarms that inform the engineer of what is happening, the cause, and the required action to maintain production. This critical information about every single well in the field irrespective of the lift type is communicated to designated individuals in the organization through the AWB dashboard, , or text message so they can manage the asset proactively. The structure of AWB modules in the Field Office suite enables users to navigate easily from one lift type to another and to transition the well from one form of lift to another all without losing vital production and performance-related information Weatherford. 36 WSM Well-Service Manager Software Servicing a well is costly in terms of unrecoverable production time and actual service performed. Managing and optimizing servicing activity creates benefits throughout the well life cycle. The WSM application includes utilities for planning, scheduling, and evaluating well service activities, ranging from surface-oriented projects to more complex remedial downhole projects. For use by a wide range of personnel from third-party rig-crew operators to production planners and management personnel WSM software provides a single environment for collaboration. Functions Input from ongoing normal well operations and trends enables WSM to predict irregular activities. When such an event is detected, WSM software is used to do the following: Plan an intervention using the template library and perform an economic analysis Schedule the job, including all necessary resources, according to HSE requirements Monitor progress of the job using WellScribe software a companion application for easy data entry and a handheld device Collect job data Evaluate post-job and scorecard, including return on investment, planned versus actual gains, failure-rate analysis, and a summary of similar jobs and their frequency Advantages Seamless integration with the Field Office suite provides operations managers immediate access to accurate service history such as chemical treatments. Vital feedback such as service job effects on production can be obtained. WSM uses data entry techniques and comprehensive business rules to ensure the accuracy of well service information. Accurate enumeration of downhole mechanicals such as rod, tubing, and pump components improves predictive analyses; and failure analysis becomes more trustworthy. Real-time remote collection of rig activity data enables supervisory personnel to easily monitor safety and idle time and to anticipate rig availability. Benefits Well project prioritization based on both economic and workflow criteria Job-specific checklist to ensure all steps have been covered Heavy emphasis on safety Proactive as well as reactive Real-time view of rig activities leading to maximum use Electronic view of complete well life What Is New Continued application development for sustaining and tuning issues Complement to WITSML Version for jobs and downhole objects Rig activity capture at the wellsite Schematic support for deviated wellbores Weatherford. 38 i-do Field Network Optimization Monitoring, controlling, and optimizing production across an entire asset requires cross-functional involvement bringing together operations, engineering, and management to work as an integrated team. Maximizing production without a significant investment in new hardware and drilling is complex. The i-do (intelligent daily operation) platform is the asset team s desktop and gives them access to key information for obtaining maximum value from an asset. The i-do platform provides automated workflows, continual optimization, prediction, and guidance all in a clear and efficient format. Functions Aggregates data from disparate data sources: Production well testing Real-time data Corporate targets Modeling data, including reservoir models Runs multiple automated petroleum engineering workflows to produce an up-to-date view of asset production performance and intelligent recommendations for optimization Delivers functionality through a visualization layer, allowing engineers and managers to go from a highlevel overview (management dashboard) of KPIs that represent the current operation along with scenario statistics and their subsequent impact. Built-in issue tracking makes the full history of the well available to everyone, enabling collaborative analysis. It includes automatic , recording, and searching functionality. Manages well, surface, and subsurface models: up to date with role-based security and version control features Integrates production forecasting Provides a management dashboard offering a high-level overview of overall asset performance Allocates production loss codes for corporate reporting Provides extended gas-lift troubleshooting for a deeper analysis of gas-lift wells and what-ifs for optimization Advantages The integrated optimization engine continually analyzes and optimizes the asset using all available information and provides a summary of the issues, ranked and with recommended solutions. What-if scenarios can be run to provide options on how best to configure the network to minimize lost production during upset conditions or planned maintenance events. Surface and subsurface integration enables automatic updating of validated production data for the reservoir model. A user can compare and visualize production, reservoir, and geologic data in other exploration and production (E&P) software platforms and link them with the i-do platform for accurate reservoir modeling and optimization. Users can enable the data caching feature to improve the system performance. Benefits Enterprise clients have reported production gains from 2 to 5 percent in uptime, and a 3 to 7 percent improvement in production volumes. Production forecasting is fully integrated into the platform to deliver ongoing performance of the well, the topside network, and the reservoir. This allows up-to-date forecasting that takes into account multiple what-if scenarios. The most appropriate plan can then be chosen to meet the financial requirements of the asset. What Is New Subsurface and surface integration linking the i-do platform with E&P software platforms and automatically updating the reservoir model with timely and accurate production information Fully integrated reservoir management planning and tracking options enabling users to plan the expected dates of workovers and well tests and to track progress of actual versus planned Enhanced real-time data trending and analysis Enhanced user interface Integrated workflow builder and screen builder Built-in opportunities dashboard that automatically identifies optimization opportunities to fill the production gap Built-in daily report dashboard print/ in PDF format Integrated with third-party nodal analysis application Extended CygNet integration Weatherford.
