Students also represent children without Disabilities who have been suspended and/or expelled from public school without due process. The Clinic is appointed as Attorney ad Litem to address a variety of issues facing children in foster care, with a special emphasis on Dependency cases where the children are failing and/or not receiving an appropriate education. The Clinic is frequently called upon to represent children in the Complex Litigation Division of the Family Court. Students also handle a broad range of family law issues, both contested and uncontested, including divorce, custody, child support, visitation,

Coordinate and oversee community outreach and training on education, family and dependency issues to attorneys, parents, custodians, providers and the general community. Responsibilities also include writing grants and overseeing the fulfillment of all Grant reporting requirements. UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI, SCHOOL OF LAW, CENTER FOR ETHICS AND PUBLIC SERVICE, 1311 Miller Drive, Room G281, Coral Gables, FL Adjunct Professor (08/11 6/14). Instructed and supervised law students pursuant to a collaboration, the first of this kind, between the University of Miami, School of Law and Florida International University, College of Law. The course covered various issues, including advocacy, legal rights and entitlements pursuant to federal and state law with a focus on education and school discipline, with the goal of eradicating the School-to-Prison Pipeline. Oversaw redaction of confidential information and determined the release of Agency records. I was responsible for the review and approval of all contracts for the Department.
