3 SISEP: State & Scaling-up of Evidence-based Practices SISEP is a National Technical Assistance Center Funded by the U.S. Department of Education s Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) SISEP assists States, School Districts and Schools in applying implementation science through building sustainable implementation infrastructures SISEP s goal is to support a system that effectively employs evidence-based practices to improve student outcomes State & Scaling-up of Evidence-based Practices EBPs Students cannot benefit from interventions they do not receive. 3

6 How SISEP Works SISEP provides States and Districts with: Intensive technical assistance to establish an effective & affordable infrastructure for implementation of evidence-based programs & practices (EBPs) Coordinated and shared professional learning via webinars and communities of practice Online and off-line coaching, teaching and learning about implementation, scaling, and system reinvention Tools and resources for conducting this work, including formative and summative evaluation tools for action planning, monitoring and outcome assessment Active Frameworks Fixsen, D.
