Woodbury, Long Island, New York Office Douglas B. Appel, Esq. Douglas B. Appel, Of Counsel, is a seasoned trial attorney with successful securities litigation experience. Before joining KDVG, Doug was Senior Vice President / Counsel at Citigroup-Smith Barney, one of the largest brokerage firms in the country. There he represented firm and individual brokers in arbitrations before the New York Stock Exchange and National Association of Securities Dealers (now FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) when Smith Barney retail clients brought claims. Doug had complete responsibility for hundreds of cases from inception through hearing, including written responses to claims and all aspects of discovery, investigation, and subpoena productions. Prior to this, he was a Homicide Criminal Prosecutor and Lead Counsel in 30 homicide trials to verdict with an 85% conviction rate. Debbie C. Morken, Esq.

2 Debbie Morken, Of Counsel, brings value to the firm's practice areas of commercial and employment litigation and insurance coverage. Prior to joining KDVG, Debbie was an Associate at Farrell Fritz, P.C. where she specialized in commercial and employment litigation as well as wage and hour class actions and represented corporations, partnerships, financial institutions, and individuals in federal and state courts. Her matters involved contract disputes, business torts, directors and officers liability, corporate governance and derivative class actions, to name a few. Prior to this, Debbie represented leading national insurance companies in litigation and coverage matters at Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP. Blue Bell, Pennsylvania Office Anne R. Myers, Esq. Anne R. Myers, Of Counsel, is a well-respected attorney who has litigated a vast range of matters, including employment practices, insurance coverage, directors and officers liability, and miscellaneous professional liability. Prior to joining KDVG, Anne was Of Counsel for Marks, O'Neill, O'Brien, & Courtney, P.C., a Philadelphia law firm where she provided ongoing human resources and employment advice to clients, particularly municipalities, in employment matters and union contract negotiations. She also has represented insurance carriers in bankruptcy matters in defense of their contractual rights that included but not limited to protecting carriers against the binding effects of mass tort liability estimations under plans of reorganization. 3 Maria Jose Morinigo, Of Counsel, has proven success defending employment law claims and has expertise counseling employers in all aspects of the workplace. Prior to joining KDVG, Maria Jose was an Associate at Deeb Petrakis Blum & Murphy P.C., a Philadelphia law firm. While there, she concentrated on employment litigation cases before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. She also counseled management in all aspects of the employment relationship including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), wage and hour compliance, unemployment compensation, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title VII, and the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJ LAD) discrimination, harassment, and retaliation issues; employment agreements; and employee handbooks. Prior to this, she was an Associate at Vaira & Riley, P.C. also in Philadelphia where she focused on white collar criminal defense and general civil litigation. Samuel L. Roberts, Esq. Samuel L. Roberts, Associate, is a talented legal practitioner with experience in labor and employment. Prior to KDVG, Samuel was Corporate Counsel at American Water, one of the largest utilities in the United States. While there, he provided counsel to the executive leadership team and human resources regarding employment issues, and labor and employment matters. Samuel also managed and coordinated outside counsel with respect to employment litigation and claims. In addition, he was an Associate at WolfBlock, LLP, a Philadelphia law firm where he represented and counseled employers in collective bargaining matters, defended employers against claims involving FLSA, FMLA, race, gender, age, disability, and national origin discrimination, and sexual harassment claims. 4 Brian Corrigan, Of Counsel, has extensive trial experience that will benefit our New Jersey Office's Professional Liability Department. Before KDGV, he established his own firm that specialized in professional liability matters. In 1980, Michals Wahl Silver Leitner PA in Woodbridge, New Jersey recruited Brian to develop a defense liability practice, and he later became Partner in charge of litigation. He began his legal career with the firm, Lamb, Hutchinson, Chappel, Ryan & Hartung, an insurance defense firm in Jersey City. The Supreme Court of New Jersey first certified Brian as a Certified Trial Attorney in 1989 and the Court recertified him in 1996, 2003, and Since 1991, Brian has been a Rule 1:40 Approved Mediator and an Arbitrator for the Superior Court of New Jersey. Claudia A. Costa, Esq. Claudia A. Costa, Of Counsel, brings extensive experience and success in commercial litigation including pretrial, trial, and appeal of cases as well as employment law. Prior to joining KDVG, Claudia was Counsel at the New Jersey firm, Stryker, Tams & Dill, LLP where she was responsible for commercial litigation cases concerning breach of contract, fraud, directors and officers liability, partnership disputes, employment litigation involving employment discrimination / wrongful termination in state and federal courts, and providing advise to clients regarding employment matters and employment contracts. 5 Edward Patrick Abbott, Associate, is a valued addition to KDVG's practice area, labor and employment law on behalf of management. As an Associate in the New Jersey office of Fisher& Phillips, LLP, Edward focused on management-side labor and employment law counseling and litigation in state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights.
