1 DEPARTMENT OF SOCIOLOGY, SOCIAL WORK, AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE MAJOR IN SOCIOLOGY Thirty-one semester hours in Sociology are required for a major in Sociology. MAJOR IN SOCIAL WORK The Curriculum in Social Work has been designed to prepare students for generalist social work practice in rural and small communities. Students are required to complete a minimum of thirty-three semester hours. Social work courses that must be taken are SW 101, SW 201, SW 20, SW 20, SW 205, SW 0, SW 05, SW 02, SW 05, and 06. The courses SW 0, SW 05, SW02, SW 05, and SW 06 must be taken and successfully completed at Southeastern Louisiana University.
