Section 56: Business Customer Options Part 18: BT Business VoIP Services

1 Subpart 1:BT Business VoIP Services General BT Business VoIP Services include Business Broadband Voice, BT Hosted VoIP and BT IP Trunk and provide the facility to make or receive a phone call using a suitably enabled BT Business Broadband line in the UK. Customers will be charged a monthly or quarterly fixed fee for the service. Additional charges are made for all calls. The Services are available to all Customers with a BT PSTN line and Business Broadband from BT and with the appropriate equipment. BROADBAND VOICE Broadband Voice provides 1 to 2 Broadband Voice lines per BT Business Broadband connection. BT HOSTED VOIP BT Hosted VoIP is available for a minimum of 3 Hosted VoIP lines and a maximum of 100 Hosted VoIP lines per installation. BT Hosted VoIP is limited to a maximum of 8 Hosted VoIP lines per BT Business Broadband connection.the BT Business Hub enables 3 BT Falcon IP Phones to be connected to the Hosted VoIP Service, and the use of an Ethernet Hub switch enables connection of an additional 5 BT Falcon IP Phones. Customers who entered into Contracts from the 26th October 2009 receive one inclusive geographic number, one Hunt Group and one MADN (Multi Appearance Directory Number) per Hosted VoIP line. The first Hunt group and MADN are inclusive with the BT Hosted VoIP service. Additional Geographic numbers, Hunt Groups and MADN's will be charged at standard rate thereafter. The Service includes 1571 for Business VoIP as part of the package. Further details on the functionality of 1571 for Business VoIP are available at calling-features BT IP Trunk BT IP Trunk provides the facility to make or receive a call using a suitably enabled BT Business Broadband line and provides a means of connecting a Customer's PBX to BT's VoIP network. Each BT IP Trunk will support multiple channels, subject to the underlying data/broadband connection. BBV and Hosted VoIP Calling Features The following features are available within tariff on Broadband Voice and Hosted VoIP: CLI Presentation / Withhold Caller Return (1471) Last Call Erasure (1475) Call Divert (Busy, No Reply & Unconditional) Call Transfer Anonymous Call Rejection Selective Call Rejection Do Not Disturb 3-way Calling Section 56:Part 18: PAGE 1

2 Call Waiting (Provided by CPE) Speed Calling Reminder Call (Ad-hoc and Regular) Customer controlled call barring + PIN change Voice Mail (BT Answer or Call Minder) Find-Me-Follow-Me Additional features are available within tariff on Hosted VoIP:- Extension Number Dialling (2XX) Short Code Dialling (3XX) Multiple Appearance Directory Numbers (MADNs) Multi Line Hunt Groups (MLHG) Pickup Groups Directed Call Pickup Music on Hold Easy Attendant Advanced Attendant is a chargeable feature available on Hosted VoIP. Call Charges for Broadband Voice and Hosted VoIP Calling Features Calls that are forwarded or diverted from the Easy Attendant are not included within any unlimited call bundles, and are charged at the Hosted VoIP Pay as you go call package rates as detailed in Subpart 4. Any calls that are forwarded or diverted from the Easy Attendant to another Hosted VoIP line will not incur any call charges. Calls that are forwarded or diverted from the Advanced Attendant are charged at the call rates for the call package associated with the Advanced Attendant line. If the Customer has an Unlimited Call package on the Advanced Attendant line, then these calls will be included with the Unlimited Call package allowance. If the Customer has a Pay as you go call package on the Advanced Attendant line, then these calls will be charged at the call rates associated with the Pay as You Go call package. Any calls that are forwarded or diverted from the Advanced Attendant to another Hosted VoIP line will not incur any call charges. For Call Transfer the transferred part of the call is charged to the Broadband Voice or Hosted VoIP renter at normal dialled rates; the calling Customer pays the call charge only to the number dialled. Reminder calls and calls made using Call Divert and 3-way calling are charged at the same tariff as for the equivalent digital exchange network services as described in Section 2Part 4 Pricing Package options for Broadband Voice and Hosted VoIP i) For Customers who signed Broadband Voice contracts between 26th October 2009 and 30th March 2011 (not available for new supply) there are three pricing packages available: 1) Broadband Voice with Free UK Calls 2) Broadband Voice with Free UK Calls and IP Phone 3) Broadband Voice Unlimited Call Package For details of the Free UK Calls Special offer please refer to 13/09 BT Business Broadband Voice Free UK Calls Sp... ii) For all Customers with contracts signed on or after 31st March 2011 for Business Broadband Voice there are three pricing packages available: Section 56:Part 18: PAGE 2

3 1) Broadband Voice with Inclusive 500 minutes UK Calls 2) Broadband Voice with Inclusive 500 minutes UK Calls and IP Phone 3) Broadband Voice Unlimited Call Package The above pricing packages in i) and ii) above are available with and without a BT Business One Plan Variant*. The Customer is required to enter into a separate Contract for the BT Business One Plan Variant which is a discount package subject to separate Terms and Conditions. For Customers who entered into contracts from 26th October 2009 for Hosted VoIP, there are two pricing packages available: 1) BT Hosted VoIP 2) BT Hosted VoIP Plus The above pricing packages are available with and without a BT Business One Plan Variant*. The Customer is required to enter into a separate Contract for the BT Business One Plan Variant which is a discount package subject to separate Terms and Conditions. Further details of the pricing packages for Broadband Voice and Hosted VoIP are included in subpart 4 Pricing for BT IP Trunk is detailed in sub-part 6 Additional Information Including Restrictions Full details including information relating to some services that cannot be accessed by Business Broadband Voice, BT Office Communicator and BT Hosted VoIP can be found in the Business Broadband Voice, BT Office Communicator and BT Hosted VoIP userguides at *BT Business VoIP Services with BT Business One Plan/ One Plan Plus. For the purposes of Part 18 references to "BT Business One Plan Variant" mean BT Business One Plan or BT Business One Plan Plus, as applicable. Open to all UK businesses that order BT Business Broadband Voice when placing a new order or agreeing to a further minimum term for BT Business Total Broadband before 26th October The connection fee for the first line only will be waived together with the monthly charges for the duration of the BT Business Broadband Voice Contract. 3 Customers must have a BT PSTN line, order BT Business Broadband Voice and place an order or agree to a further minimum term for BT Business Total Broadband. 4 An outgoing call must be made using the first line: Section 56:Part 18: PAGE 4

5 (a) within 90 days of placement of the order for the Services, and subsequently (b) at least every 90 days from the Service Start Date. Failure to do so may result in suspension or termination, at BT's option, of the Service to the first line. 5 This will not apply where the first line of the BT Business Broadband Voice service is provided to any UK businesses ordering the BT Business Broadband Voice Plus product. 6 Eligible Customers wishing to switch to a free BT Business Broadband Voice line from an existing chargeable first line will be charged for any remaining period of the chargeable first line minimum period. 7 Except as expressly stated, the standard Terms and Conditions for the relevant service will apply in addition to these Terms and Conditions. 8 Any calls made using the BT Business Broadband Voice service must be paid for at applicable standard rates. 9 Any additional BT Business Broadband Voice lines will be subject to applicable standard monthly rental charges. 10. Business Broadband Voice Customer Equipment may be required (such as Broadband Voice Telephone Adapter). 11. Customers must have: BT PSTN Line Business Broadband from BT Appropriate Business Broadband Voice Customer Equipment ( a Broadband Voice Telephone Adapter may be required) 12 VoIP Calling Features 1571 for Business VoIP (although Customers may, subject to the additional charges set out above, upgrade to BT Call Minder for Business VoIP). 6 *Customers who signed Broadband Voice contracts between 26th October 2009 and 30th March 2011 will receive the 500 Free UK Minutes in accordance with the Special Offer Terms and Conditions as detailed in 13/09 BT Business Broadband Voice Free UK Calls Sp...) **Customers who signed Broadband Voice contracts on or after 31st March 2011 will receive the 500 inclusive UK call minutes in accordance with the Broadband Voice Inclusive UK Calls section below. # Please refer to subpart 5 for details on the phone warranty Notes 1. Customers must sign a new Contract with either a 1 year or 2 year Minimum Period Upon expiry of the 1st Minimum Period, the Contract will continue for subsequent Minimum Period(s) until such time as the Customer takes the action prescribed in the Service Schedule or terminates the Contract or Service in accordance with the Conditions. 3. Following the 1st Minimum Period, the monthly rental charge will be automatically re-aligned from the appropriate monthly rental for the 1st Minimum Period to the appropriate monthly rental for subsequent Minimum Periods (see above). 4. If the Customer notifies BT in accordance with the provisions of the Service Schedule that it does not want the Contract to continue for further Minimum Period(s), the provisions of paragraph 3 above will not apply or, if the provisions of paragraph 3 above have already been applied, the Customer will be charged from the date of such notification at the monthly rental applicable for the 1st Minimum Period. Outside of the Minimum Period geographic numbers will be charged at the rates set out above. 6. The Service includes BT Call Minder for Business VoIP as part of the package. Further details on the functionality of BT Call Minder for Business VoIP is available at 7. Geographic Number Portability Import enables the Customer of an Other Licensed Operator (OLO), to transfer the number associated with their fixed telephony service from the OLO to BT. A telephone number which had previously been exported to the OLO from BT may be imported. The portability of individual numbers is subject to confirmation. 8. Customers must have: BT PSTN Line A Business Broadband line dedicated to providing the Service from BT Business Broadband Hub from BT Appropriate BT Business Hosted VoIP Customer Equipment (including IP phones and Ethernet Hub switch) 9. Customers must have: BT PSTN Line A Business Broadband line dedicated to providing the Service from BT Business Broadband Hub from BT Falcon IP phones from BT and or BT Office Communicator (Soft client) For Customers ordering more than 3 lines on a BT Business Hub they must have an Ethernet switch Appropriate BT Business Hosted VoIP Customer Equipment (including IP phones and Ethernet Hub switch) 8. BT Hosted VoIP is not available to Customers wanting the service to be provided using any Private Branch Exchange (PBX) from BT or any other provider Additional Features applicable to Hosted VoIP and Hosted VoIP Plus The first Hunt group and MADN are inclusive with BT Hosted VoIP service. 25 Subpart 5: Business Broadband Voice and BT Hosted VOIP Customer Equipment Business Broadband Voice Telephone Adapter(not applicable to contracts entered into after the 26th October 2009) Where the Broadband Voice Telephone Adapter is provided with Business Broadband Voice it is included for the charge set out below, subject to the Minimum Period being increased from 3 months to 12 months and subject to BT's Conditions of Sale. One off Payment One off payment ExcVAT IncVAT Falcon IP Phone Where the Falcon IP Phone has been purchased as an outright sale, it is covered by a 12 months warranty. If a fault occurs with the phone and it is one which is covered by the warranty, the Customer will be required to return the phone to BT within 14 days of receiving a replacement. If the phone is not received by BT within 14 days, the Customer will be charged the one-off payment charge specified above. 2. Customers taking the Business Broadband Voice with Free/ Inclusive UK calls - 2 year contract with IP Phone are supplied with a Falcon IP phone as part of the rental package 2.1 Warranty for Falcon IP Phone (rental package) (a). If, for a period of 24 months from delivery, BT is notified of a fault in the phone which is due to faulty design, manufacture or materials, or the negligence of BT, BT will where necessary by arrangement with the Customer, replace or (at its option) repair the faulty part free of charge provided that: (i) the phone has been properly kept, used and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's or BT's instructions, if any, and has not been modified except with BT's written consent; or (ii) the fault is not due to accidental or wilful damage; interference with or maintenance of the phone by persons other than BT. (b). This warranty does not cover fair wear and tear. (c). The Customer will be required to return a faulty phone to BT with 14 days on receiving replacement. If the faulty phone is not received by BT within 14 days, BT will charge the Customer at the rate specified in section one off payment details as above (d). If the Customer reports a fault and BT finds there is none or that the Customer has caused the fault, BT may apply a charge. (e). Except where the Customer relies on BT's written advice, it is the Customer's responsibility to satisfy itself as to the suitability of the phone for its needs. (f). BT does not warrant that any software will be free of all faults or that its use will be uninterrupted, but BT will remedy those defects which significantly impair performance within a reasonable time Section 56:Part 18: PAGE 25

29 Conditions Moving Premises If, after the Service Start Date, the Customer moves to a new Site, the Customer must terminate the contract unless BT confirms to the Customer that BT is able to provide the Service at the new Site. Early termination charges will apply on termination of the Contract unless BT is unable to provide the Service at the new Site as a result of BT being unable to provide an equivalent number of channels at the new Site. If BT is able to provide the Service at the new Site, the Customer may elect to continue with the Contract in which event: a) the Customer will continue to pay all charges (including rental and other recurring charges) up to, during and following the change-over period when the Service is transferred to the new Site. b) the Customer will pay the installation and set-up charges applicable to a new BT IP PBX for provision of the Service at the new Site. c) there will be no break to the Minimum Period which will continue unchanged. Changes to Customer requirements prior to the Service Start Date may result in a redesign of the Service which may affect delivery dates and charges. Changes to facilities or features requested by the Customer following the Service Start Date may be subject to charges. Early Contract Termination In accordance with clause 6.3 of the Conditions, the following will apply: 1. Termination of contracts with a Minimum Period of 1 year. If the Contract is terminated during the Minimum Period the Customer will pay any outstanding connection or other non-recurring charges and the full rental for the balance of the Minimum Period at the prevailing rental at the time of the termination. 2. Termination of contracts with a Minimum Period of 3 or 5 years. If the Contract is terminated during the Minimum Period, the following will apply: (a) if the Contract is terminated within the first 12 months of the Minimum Period, the Customer will pay any outstanding connection or other non-recurring charges and the full rental for the first 12 months of the Minimum Period and 20%of the rental that would otherwise have been payable for the balance of the Minimum Period at the prevailing rental at the time of the termination. (b) If the Contract is terminated after the first 12 months of the Minimum Period, the Customer will pay any outstanding connection or other non-recurring charges and 20% of the rental that would otherwise have been payable for the balance of the Minimum Period at the prevailing rental at the time of the termination. 30 Subpart 7:Conditions i) The applicable terms and conditions are as follows:- (a) Business Broadband Voice - BT Business Broadband Voice terms and conditions; (b) BT Hosted VoIP - BT Business Broadband Voice Terms and Conditions; and (c) BT IP Trunk - BT Business Services (BT IP Trunk) Terms and Conditions All of the above Terms and Conditions are available at The applicable Terms and Conditions for BT Hosted VoIP (enhanced) can also be found on and apply to all Hosted VoIP and Hosted VoIP Plus contracts on or after 26th October ii) Full details of the services and equipment required can be found in the BT Business Broadband Voice, BT Office Communicator and BT Hosted VoIP userguides at :wwwbtcom/businessbroadbandvoice Fair Use Policy for: 1. existing Business Broadband Voice and BT Hosted VoIP Customers who have a Contract with BT prior to 26th October 2009:Business Broadband Voice Plus and BT Hosted VoIP Plus are subject to a fair use policy limit for all UK Local and National geographic calls of 1,500 minutes in any one calendar month If any of the fair use policy limits stated above are exceeded, BT reserves the right, at its option to either:- apply Business Broadband Voice charges to all UK Local and National geographic call minutes which exceeds the limit stated above; suspend the Customer's ability to make all outgoing calls using BT Business Broadband Voice Plus until the following calendar month; regrade the Customer's service from Business Broadband Voice Plus to standard Business Broadband Voice; or terminate the Service. If any of the above apply, BT will Contact the Customer and give 28 days notice of such action being taken 2. Business Broadband Voice Unlimited Call Package and BT Hosted VoIP Plus, including (for both products) with or without BT Business One Plan Variant, customers who have a Contract with BT signed on or after 26th October 2009: Business Broadband Voice Unlimited Call Package and BT Hosted VoIP Plus are subject to a fair use policy limit for all: UK Local and National geographic and IDD calls of 5,000 minutes in total in any one calendar month. UK Fixed to Mobile calls of 300 minutes in any one calendar month. Where the Customer's: (a) Inland and IDD calls (as listed above), exceeds 5000 minutes per calendar month, the Customer will be charged for any calls in excess of the 5000 minutes* from the next calendar day until the end of that calendar month, in accordance with prices detailed in Business Broadband Voice Inland Capped Calls and Business Broadband Voice International Direct Dialled Calls in this Section. (b) F2M minutes exceeds 300 minutes per calendar month, the Customer will be charged for calls in excess of the 300 minutes* in accordance with the prices detailed in Business Broadband Voice Fixed to Mobile Calls in this Section. * the charges that will be applied are the rates (capped or uncapped dependent upon whether or not the Customer contracted for the capped or uncapped rates) as set out in the Price List Entries for Business Broadband Voice BT will monitor the Customer's usage of the Broadband Voice Unlimited Call Package and Hosted VoIP Plus, and reserves the right to: Section 56:Part 18: PAGE 30

31 (i) Suspend the charges applicable to the Broadband Voice Unlimited Call Package and Hosted VoIP Plus in which case the Customer will be charged in accordance with the standard Contract; or (ii) Terminate the Contract. 3. Business Broadband Voice Capped Calls : Business Broadband Voice has its own fair usage policy. Customers are entitled to an average duration of four hours of calls per day of Capped Calls (for each call type for which there is a Capped Call price) from any one BT Broadband line, BT Hosted VoIP line or BT IP Trunk line to any one number throughout each calendar month. Usage beyond this level will be subsequently charged at the pence per minute price, with no cap applicable, unless, in addition, if the average number of calls made per day per calendar month to the number is 16 or greater. The average call duration per day per calendar month is calculated by dividing the total duration of Capped Calls made to any one number in any calendar month by the number of days in that calendar month. The average number of calls made to any one number per day per calendar month is calculated by dividing the total number of Capped Calls made to any one number in any calendar month by the number of days in that calendar month. Early termination Charges Broadband Voice for Customers with contracts signed before 26 October 2009 (not available for new supply from 26th October 2009) For BT Broadband Voice Contracts entered into with BT before 26th October 2009 the termination charges are 100% of the outstanding rental for the remainder of the Minimum Period. Broadband Voice for Customers with contracts signed on or after 26 October 2009 (i) For BT Broadband Voice Contracts entered into with BT on or after 26th October 2009, the termination charges are:- For Customers with a 1 year minimum period the termination charges are 100% of the outstanding rental for the remainder of the Minimum Period. For Customers with a 2 year Minimum Period contract, the Customer would pay the total Monthly Payments (together with any Connection Charges) remaining in year 1 of the Minimum Period and20% of the total Monthly Payments (together with 100% of any Connection Charges) remaining in year 2. Hosted VoIP for Customers with contracts signed before 8th December 2008 (not available for new supply) For BT Hosted VoIP Contracts entered into with BT before 8th December 2008 the termination charges are 100% of the outstanding rental for the remainder of the Minimum Period. Hosted VoIP for Customers who contracted with BT on or after 8th December 2008 and before 26th October 2009 (not available for new supply) (i) For BT Hosted VoIP Contracts entered into with BT on or after 8th December 2008 and before 26th October 2009, the termination charges are:- - During the first Minimum Period of a 1 year Minimum Period Contract, the Customer would pay the total Monthly Payments (together with any Connection Charges) remaining for the Minimum Period. - During the first Minimum Period of a 2 year Minimum Period Contract, the Customer would pay the total Monthly Payments (together with any Connection Charges) remaining in year 1 of the Minimum Period and 20%of the total Monthly Payments (together with 100%of any Connection Charges) remaining in year 2. - During subsequent Minimum Period(s) of both 1 year and 2 year Minimum Period contracts, the Customer would pay 20%of the total Monthly Payments (together with 100%of any Connection Charges)remaining for the Minimum Period.
