Preference will also be extended if major is Education or Speech Pathology.) Demonstrated leadership ability GPA 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale Extra-curricular school activities Enrolled in a four year accredited college or university Community service Successful Interview The TILF Philly s Teens Are Cookin Culinary Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who plans to major in culinary arts or attend a culinary arts college or university. The recipient will be selected based on the following criteria: The TILF E. Steven Collins Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior who plans to pursue a college degree in journalism/media/communications and a career in print or broadcast journalism. The applicant must write an essay on a current event topic of their choosing that explores the topic and peaks the reader s interest to know more. Recipients will be selected based on the following criteria: GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Successful Interview The Susan Cannon Jones Celebration Scholarship supports the higher education goals of a deserving, non-traditional female student who is also a single parent. The recipient will be selected based on the following criteria: Demonstrated financial need Between 17 and 35 years of age GPA 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale Enrolled in a two or four year accredited college or university The Vicky Rose Jones Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who meets the following criteria: A participant in Alpha Kappa Alpha s ASCEND program at the time of application GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale The Vicky Rose Jones Book Award is awarded to a graduating senior who meets the following criteria: A participant in the Ivy AKAdemy at the time of application Demonstrated interest in high achievement GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale Enrolled in a two or four year accredited college or university Recommendation by IVY AKAdemy committee/mentors

Gethers Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior in a Philadelphia public school who has an interest in studying physical therapy or occupational health in a two or four year accredited college program. The recipient will be selected based on the following criteria: GPA 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale Enrolled in a two or four year accredited college or university The Simpson-Woodside Family Scholarship is awarded to a graduating female senior who plans to further her education in one of the following disciplines: Mathematics, Science Biology/ Chemistry, Physics or Engineering. The recipient will be selected based on the following criteria: Enrolled in a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) Demonstrated Community Service The Yvonne Cooper Watson Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a graduating female senior who meets the following criteria: GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale Extra-curricular activities The Juanita Taylor Scholarship is awarded to a graduating female senior, enrolled in a Philadelphia Public High School, who will be attending a Historical Black College or University (HBCU). The recipient will be selected on the following criteria: Demonstrated leadership ability GPA 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale Extra-curricular school activities Enrolled in a four year accredited college or university Community service Successful interview The Cheyney University of PA / Delta Iota 60 th Anniversary Milestone Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who plans to attend Cheyney University. The recipient will be selected on the following criteria: GPA 2.7 or higher on a 4.0 scale Financial need

4 The Thirty Black Pearls 20 th Anniversary Milestone Scholarship sponsored by The Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. initiated 1995 Rho Theta Omega Chapter. The recipient will be selected on the following criteria: Extracurricular school activities The Phyllis Blair Green 217 Milestone Scholarship. The Phyllis Blair Green 217 Scholarship supports the higher educational goals of a deserving Philadelphia High School for Girls student. Recipients will be selected on the following criteria: Graduating member of the senior class GPA 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale Accepted to a 4 year college or university Proof of community service Meets and exceeds interview evaluation The Edward Sonny Washington Milestone Scholarship is awarded to a senior graduating from the Philadelphia High School for Girls. The recipient must meet the following criteria: Demonstrated leadership ability GPA 2.0 or higher Enrolled in a four year accredited college or university Is an active member of a church community Successful interview ******************************************************************************* All applications must be accompanied by an official transcript (with seal), three typewritten letters of reference, and a typewritten essay from the applicant stating future plans and why the scholarship award will help her or him reach future goals. The essay should be a minimum of 200 words and a maximum of 500 words. The application and all supporting documentation must be submitted together, in one envelope, as one complete package. It is the responsibility of the applicant to have all information submitted on time. Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered. If applying for more than one scholarship, please submit a separate application form for each scholarship. Following the initial review of applications, semi-finalists will be chosen. An interview, during the last week of April, 2015, will be scheduled for each semi-finalist. Scholarship winners will be
