2 Introductory Remarks In February and March 2012, TechSoup Global conducted a survey of NGOs, nonprofits, and charities around the world to help understand current cloud use and future plans for cloud adoption. TechSoup's assumption is that cloud computing is a significant change, which has already arrived or is coming soon in all parts of the world. We believe that better understanding these issues and sharing the results will help strengthen the social benefit sector. How This Section Relates to the Full Report The full global cloud survey results are presented in our report "The Significance of Cloud Computing for the Social Benefit Sector: full report focuses on global and regional analysis of the results, rather than results for individual countries. This special section offers a detailed analysis of survey responses from Romania for a key subset of survey questions. Analysis Responses for Romania were compared to global responses and to responses for Romania's geographic region, which includes Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine.
