26 FRENCH BAC CREDIT AT FLORIDA PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY (FSU) To Director of Admissions - 1. Does FSU offer credit for 'qualifying' French Bac exam scores? RESPONSE: FSU would award advanced credit for notes of 10 or higher for subjects on the baccalaureat where the coefficient value is 4 or higher. We typically award 6 semester hours per subject and 8 semester hours for sciences and non-english languages. In order to get transfer credit the student needs to get both10 or more on the NOTE & 4 or more in the CO. We will award 6 credits for each approved course: Math/Eco NOTE-12 (B) CO- 5 6 credits Sc. 29 THE TOEFL EXAM FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS TOEFL EXAM If a student is in ESOL classes in Senior Year (and, some colleges, at any time in high school) and does not have strong SAT or ACT scores in English, Reading, Writing, the college will likely Require the TOEFL. Here is an example of the expected score from Tufts University. (At Miami-Dade College, if the student was formerly ESOL in high school and does not produce sufficient assessment results, the student will be placed in an ESOL track prior to a regular college credit program.) Need Aware indicates the student will be seeking financial aid and this factor likely impacts the admit process. Need Blind colleges do not look at any financial information in making decisions.
