Advanced RAID Management with Hot-swap Design DX-2116X-NAS-R is featured with Intel Core 3.1GHz CPU and 4 GB memory. It has a scalable design in addition to supporting various levels of disk configurations such as RAID 0, 1, 5, 5+hot spare, 6, 6+hot spare, 10, 10+hotspare, single disk, and JBOD.online RAID capacity expansion, and level migration. RAID is an advanced feature that the DX-2116-NAS-R offers to enhance data protection and performance. The Hot Spare feature allows the administrator to share spare drives with multiple RAID volumes. When a hard drive fails in any RAID volume, the hot-spare drive will automatically replace the failed drive to prevent data from being lost. Compared with a local spare drive, the Hot Spare function offers more efficient use of spare drives. Versatile Applications Backup Center for Business DX-2116X-NAS-R supports a multi use of server business applications, allows file sharing across Linux, UNIX, Mac, and Windows platforms. Versatile business applications are supported, e.g. file server, FTP server with encryption, printer server, web server, and encrypted remote replication by Rsync. Also, Windows AD (Active Directory) is supported to help create an easy-to-access environment and lower the maintenance cost. LUNs can be flexibly mapped to, unmapped from, and switched among different iscsi targets. Designed with CHAP, with the support of MPIO (Multipath Input Output) and MC/S (Multiple Connections per Session) on the NAS, users can connect to the iscsi targets on the DX-2116X- NAS-R using two or more network interfaces from their server with failover and load balancing.
