26 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Recruit Company Days During this one-day showcase event, company representatives set up a display similar to a career fair booth at a prominent North Campus location. To schedule a Company Day event, please visit goo.gl/2wszpv to submit your request online. Visit umich.edu/companyday to learn about Best Practices for hosting Company Day events. ECRC Collaboration Opportunities Co-sponsored by the ECRC, these events give organizations an opportunity to support our student s development, develop a strong presence on campus and conduct recruiting on an informal basis. Resume Critiquing Mock Interviews Workshop Panel Recruiter in Residence/Office Hours ECRC Corporate Partner Program The ECRC Corporate Partner Program is an opportunity for employers to support the ECRC in our effort to prepare students for their transition from college to career and to expand the employer s brand on campus. For more information about becoming an ECRC Corporate Partner, please visit career.engin. umich.edu/corporatepartners. Engineering Career Fairs Career fairs are held throughout the year by student organizations, departments and the ECRC. The Fall Engineering Career Fair takes place in late September and the Winter Engineering Career Fair takes place in late January/early February. The MPowered Career Fair, designed exclusively for startups, is usually held in January. For more information about engineering-related career fairs, please visit career.engin.umich.edu/careerfairs. Information Sessions and Student Organization Involvement Information Sessions are coordinated by our student organizations. For a list of student organizations that have expressed interest in partnering with industry to arrange information sessions and other on-campus events, please visit career.engin.umich.edu/infosessions. You may contact any organization you would like to work with directly. Contact information is provided for each group. Requesting Interview Dates Requests for preferred recruiting dates may be submitted through ENGenius.Jobs online at com/employers beginning at the end of March for the following recruiting season. Dates are accommodated on a first come, first serve basis and book quickly early in the season. From the top menu bar of your home page, select On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) and then Request a Schedule to request dates for campus interviews. Full recruiting season dates can be found at career.engin.umich.edu/ oncampusinterviews. 24 Guide for Recruiters

27 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Recruit Posting Jobs for Interviews Once you receive your interview date confirmation, you will be able to view your schedule information. You may then attach a position to your schedule. Note: At this time, the ECRC only screens on graduation date and degree/major. Interview Schedule Options PRESELECT This option allows students who qualify for a position based on graduation date and degree/ major to submit their resume to request an on-campus interview. You will then have an opportunity to preselect students who you would like to sign up for interview slots. OPEN SCHEDULE This option allows any student who qualifies for a position based on graduation date and degree/ major to sign up for an interview slot. Students sign up without your advance resume review, beginning two weeks prior to the interview date. ROOM-ONLY RESERVATION This option allows a company to build its own interview schedule with resumes obtained during a career fair, company day or job posting. The ECRC will reserve interview space. Companies that utilize the Room-Only option are required to provide a copy of each interview schedule to the ECRC prior to the interviews. Preselect Interview Recruiting Deadlines Recruiting methods that involve preselection schedules are guided by timelines set forth in advance by the ECRC. When scheduling a recruiting date and submitting required documentation, please pay special attention to the timelines below. A successful recruiting effort is often dependent upon allowing sufficient time for students to submit resumes and sign up for interviews. Business Days Before Interview Date Job Descriptions Due 36 Resume Submission Begins 36 Resume Submission Deadline 15 Employer Preselection Deadline 10 Preselect Sign-up Begins 7 Alternate Sign-up Begins 4 Sign-up Ends 3 Guidelines and Policies Our Recruitment Policy Statement can be found at our website, career.engin.umich. edu/recruitmentpolicy. Companies that recruit at the University of Michigan College of Engineering must adhere to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines, the National Association of Colleges and Employers Principles for Employment Professionals and our Recruitment Policy Statement. Companies that fail to comply with these guidelines and policies may be excluded from future oncampus recruiting privileges at the College of Engineering.
