1 California University of Pennsylvania Career Services Class of 2010 Graduate Survey A Summary of the Post-Graduation Activities of August 2009, December 2009 and May 2010 Graduates California University of Pennsylvania Career Services 250 University Avenue California, PA (724) [email protected]
2 Preface The office of Career Services at California University of Pennsylvania conducts a survey each year to obtain information about the post-graduation activities of graduates. This report highlights the results of the survey of California University s Undergraduate Class of 2010 (August 2009, December 2009, and May 2010 graduates.) A total of 73% of the graduates of California University who were contacted responded by telephone to questions regarding their post-graduation activities. Survey recipients were asked to provide information regarding employment status (full-time or part-time, in work related or non-related to their field of study); graduate or professional school status; employer name, location and job title; and current salary (optional). Only full-time salary information is included in this report. Please note that responses to the question Is your employment related to your field of study can be quite subjective (i.e. a Liberal Arts major employed as an Account Executive may have responded that the job was not related to their field of study.) Of the graduates who responded to the survey, 99% were employed or attending graduate/professional school (83% employed, approximately 16% attending graduate or professional school.) The tables on the following pages outline the results of the survey by college and program. The results of the survey are posted on the Career Services web site at (under Quick Links click on Faculty and Staff, under Links click on Graduate Survey 5 Year Report ). Data contained in this report is provided as an informational resource only. It is important to note that these statistics are not to be interpreted singularly as a comment on the quality of programs or colleges.
