2 Page 2 LIVE BY JN 24 hour international banking. Question 1 What is LIVE by JN? LIVE by JN is the online banking portal from Jamaica National Building Society. It is internet banking that keeps you always connected with your JNBS savings accounts(s) in Jamaica. Question 2 How do I sign up for LIVE by JN internet banking? Please visit the JNBS website at select LIVE by JN and follow instructions for New User. Should you have any problems in completing the set-up, please contact our Member Care Centre at for assistance. Question 3 What services does LIVE by JN provide? LIVE by JN currently allows the following financial transactions: Check account balances and history (savings and mortgage) Transfer funds between your JNBS savings accounts Pay utility, cable and other bills in Jamaica Top up mobile phones in Jamaica Pay credit card bills in Jamaica Transfer funds to any other JNBS account (special sign up required to access) The options from the portal are always expanding and we will keep you posted.

3 Page 3 JNBS UK Mobile Unit Operations Bringing our valuable services to your community. Question 4 What is the JNBS UK Mobile Unit? Our Mobile Unit is a fully equipped servicing outlet that can provide all the services our branch provides including; the signing up for new accounts, collection of giro payment slips, setting up of standing orders to make hassle free payments into your JNBS savings account, updating of passbooks or obtaining mortgage information. The Mobile Unit can be identified by the image below. Question 5 How will I know when the Mobile Unit is visiting my location? The full UK Mobile Unit schedule is updated on the JNBS website, at each month. Additionally, through the use of s and text messages, we will update members in the local area about upcoming visits and any changes in the schedule of the Mobile Unit. To receive the latest updates from us, it is crucial that you provide us with your current contact details including your UK mobile number, address and full postal address. Question 6 How quickly are transactions processed that are completed on the Mobile Unit? Unless additional information is required, transactions are completed within the same time period as prescribed for branch transactions.

4 Question 7 If I want to open a new JNBS savings account in Jamaica and cannot visit a branch, how should I proceed? This can be done by any of the following methods: Visit the Mobile Unit during its visit to your area (see schedule at uksupportservices@janouk.com for a new account package or collect from Mobile Unit Contact the Member Care Centre at and request a savings account package to be sent to you for completion and return it. Completed documents received in the new account package should be notarized and mailed to: Jamaica National UK Support Services Unit 220, Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre, London, SE1 6TE or returned to Mobile Unit on their next visit to your area Question 8 Will the processing time for new accounts be longer? No. Once your documents have been completed at our Mobile Unit or we have received notarized documents for opening accounts by mail, the process for sign-up will be complete. Importantly, please remember that you need to fund (activate) the account by making a payment to Barclays using the paying in voucher received. Until you do this, the account is not opened. Question 9 How will I receive the paying in voucher for funding a new account, if I have mailed the documents required for opening? Once new account documents have been received, we will dispatch a paying in voucher to your address within 24 hours of receipt. Question 10 How do I get Character Reference Forms? 5 Page 5 Putting funds in your account Making payments into Jnbs accounts from the UK Question 11 How do I make payments into my JNBS account in Jamaica? You can make payments into JNBS savings account in Jamaica, by any of the following means: By requesting a personalised paying-in book and making your payments at any Barclays Bank By using non-personalised giro slip and making your payments at any Barclays Bank Transferring funds online from your UK bank account (please request transfer guide) Setting up a standing order direct from your UK bank account Question 12 How can I obtain a personalised paying-in book for my JNBS account in Jamaica? You can request a paying-in book by calling our Member Care Centre at or ing uksupportservices@janouk.com with your account number, account currency and full postal address. This will be prepared and posted to you in three weeks. Question 13 How do I receive Giro Slips to make payments to my account? For Giro Slips, please contact our Member Care Centre at or Uksupportservices@janouk.com. You will need to provide your account number, servicing branch, mailing address and telephone number. Giro Slips can also be obtained from our Mobile Unit when we come to your area.

6 Page 6 Obtaining a JNBS mortgage Accessing Jnbs mortgage facilities from the UK. Question 14 Can I apply for a JNBS mortgage from the UK. Absolutely, our UK based mortgage experts can help you to access any of the Society s mortgage products in a convenient, timely and efficient way. Question 15 How can I obtain a statement and any other information for my mortgage account. You can do a printout of your account via LIVE by JN or by contacting our Member Care Centre at or by ing uksupportservices@janouk.com Question 16 How can I be pre- approved for a Mortgage, and/or do a loan application. Please contact our Member Care Centre at or uksupportservices@janouk.com. Question 17 I need to pay arrears on my mortgage, how can I do so from the UK? You can process a withdrawal from your savings account with instructions for the funds to be credited to a mortgage account.

Question 18 How do I request withdrawals from my account without visiting a Representative Office and how long will it take? Withdrawals requests can be done by any of the following methods: Visiting the Mobile Unit with valid & current photo identification and JNBS passbook/certificate. Using Live by JN (Internet Banking). See sign up details for access. Mailing the following documents to us at : JN UK Support Services, Unit 220, Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre, London, SE1 6TE: Notarized copy of your valid and current photo identification Notarized copy of your passbook (signed and dated) Letter from you indicating the account from which withdrawal is being made, and the amount to be withdrawn Instructions for treatment of funds (instructions confirming how funds are to be paid) Where the mail option is utilized, the following should be noted: If funds are going to another JN account, please state name and account number of account holder. If a cheque is to be prepared for collection, please state, the name of payee, location cheque is to be collected at and who will be collecting it. If funds are to be wired back to the UK, please state the following for the UK account: name on account, sort code, name of bank or building society. Withdrawals are normally processed 5 working days after receiving the completed request.

Question 19 How do I get my passbook updated without visiting a Representative Office and are there alternatives to passbook updates? This can be done by visiting our Mobile Unit or by mailing your passbook, along with a letter to us for an update. The mail should be sent to: Jamaica National UK Support Services Unit 220 Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre, London, SE1 6TE You can view your transactions on LIVE by JN or you can request a statement on your account by calling our Member Care Centre at or ing uksupportservices@janouk.com. Question 20 How do I reactivate my account? This can be done by visiting the JN Mobile Unit or by mailing a copy of your notarized ID and passbook to us at the above address. If your account is dormant, you need to supply two completed reference forms as well. Question 21 How can I obtain a statement for my savings account? You can do a printout of your account via LIVE by JN or by contacting our Member Care Centre at or by ing us at uksupportservices@janouk.com. Question 22 How do I change my address? This can be done at the Mobile Unit when we are in your area. Or you can send an original proof of address (recent bill/bank statement) with instructions to your change address to our address above. Please include your account number and previous address for reference.

9 Page 9 Meeting other transactional needs: Name Additions & Removals Question 23 If I want to add a name to the account, what will I need to do? This can be done by two methods: Visiting the Mobile Unit with the following: Passbook/certificate Valid & current photo identification for account holder Valid & current photo identification for person being added Two completed character reference forms for new person (s) (all persons aged 12 & over) Proof of Address bill or bank statement within the last 3 months Mailing notarized copies of the above documents and two completed character reference forms for person to be added to, Jamaica National UK Support Services Unit 220 Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre, London, SE1 6TE If the person to be added is a minor, then a copy of their birth certificate can be supplied instead of the identification. Question 24 If I want to remove a name what will I need to do? Removing a name from an account involves closing the account and re-opening same. This can be done in two ways: Visit the JN Mobile Unit with the following documents: Passbook/Certificate of Deposit Valid & current photo identification Two completed character reference forms (if not previously supplied) Mail notarized copies of identification, character references and passbook/certificate along with a letter advising of the names to remain on the account to above address.

Question 25 My family lives in Jamaica and I want to transfer funds to their JNBS account from my JNBS savings account. How is this done outside of the Representative Office? Transfers can be done at our Mobile Unit, via LIVE by JN (internet banking) or by mailing us the following: Notarized copy of your valid and current identification Notarized copy of your passbook (signed and dated) Letter from you indicating the account from which the transfer is being made and the account to which the transfer should be made, and the amount to be withdrawn Instructions for treatment of funds LIVE by JN If you are on the recipient s savings account, you can transfer funds online between accounts maintained at JNBS using LIVE by JN. You can also now transfer funds via LIVE by JN if you are not on the account (please note however a special sign up is required to access this service). Instructions If funds are going to another JN account, please state name and account number. If a cheque is to be prepared for collection, please state, the name of payee, location cheque is to be collected and who will be collecting the cheque. If funds are to be wired back to the UK, please state name on account, sort code of account, name of the UK bank. Withdrawals will be processed 5 working days after receiving the request.

Certificates of Deposit requiring renewal should be mailed to us at: Jamaica National UK Support Services Unit 220 Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre, London SE1 6TE Once received, we will dispatch to you within 24 hours. Question 27 How do I get an ATM Card for my JN Savings Account? Please visit the Mobile Unit or our Elephant & Castle Representative Office. Additionally, you can do this by visiting your servicing branch in Jamaica. Question 28 I have lost my passbook or certificate. What do I do?
