Demonstrate an awareness of cultural and global competencies an increasingly diverse marketplace , 95% of graduates were employed, with an average salary of $39K o 97.3% of UW-Stout students as a whole were employed or continuing education, with an average salary of $31K Program enrollment has declined over the past three years, going from 889 students in to 756 students in o International student enrollment is expected to increase over the next couple of years Overall, Peregrine Common Professional Component (CPC) exam scores were satisfactory, with 10 of 12 scored as average o Students scored highest in the Global Dimensions of Business, Information Management Systems, Legal Environment of Business, and Management components o Students scored below average in Marketing and Quantitative Research Techniques BUMGT 480 (Entrepreneurship) capstone project (full business plan) had an average score 87.5% Co-op employers assessed students performance over 18 areas on a scale from 1 to 5 (5 being the best), resulting in an average score of 4.5 Revision to incorporate the new general education requirements Realigning program objectives to meet the needs of students and employers Several courses have been revised and approved via the university curricula process Students are being encouraged to consider alternative courses for their respective advanced management operations course Continuing to revise courses for curriculum approval Reviewing emphasis areas on a regular basis with students 2

Demonstrate awareness of diversity of culture and economy in the global market , 99% of available graduates were employed, with a median reported salary of $47K Enrollment has exceeded target value of 400 students for the past five years Six year graduation rates in the program have ranged from 42-71% over the past five years Students rated the importance of and the preparation received for each program objective on a scale of 1 (unnecessary/no preparation, respectively) to 5 (essential/excellent preparation, respectively), resulting in an average score of 4.18 for both dimensions Students rated the importance of each program objective as very important or essential (>3.9) Most Peregrine Common Professional Component (CPC) exam scores were higher than other programs within the College of Management o Eight of 14 CPCs were lower than national Online Delivery students, but did not differ significantly 94% of students scored above 80% on the BUACT 206 (Intro to Financial Accounting) final exam, exceeding the goal of 75% Spring 2013, the INMGT 460 (Industrial Management Capstone) goal was met by having at least 90% of students above 90% on each of the three sections o Fall 2012 more than 90% of students scored above 90% on two of the three sections The BUMGT 490 (Strategic Management And Business Policy) goal was met both semesters, with more than 75% of students completing five of 12 selected competency areas for a business plan at a level of reasonable to exceptional Spring 2012 o Learning Objectives for each concentration developed and presented to the advisory committee o Capstone included in all concentrations o Peregrine administered to students in capstone classes Fall 2012 o Added Direct Internal Measurement to BUACT 206 (Intro to Financial Accounting) o Peregrine exam administered to students in capstone classes Spring 2013 o Peregrine administered to students in capstone classes Summer 2013 o COM developed rubrics for assessment of written communication Create assessment map of program objectives Meet with PARQ to edit program specific survey Work with COM assessment coordinator to implement internal assessments Add formative assessment in INMGT 200 (Production Operations Mgmt) Continuation of Peregrine CPC Exam in capstone courses Longitudinal data collection of external assessment, portfolio, and direct internal measures 3

Demonstrate international, cultural, and global competence in the retail organizations and the greater community Fall 2012, 309 students enrolled 3 rd largest program in the College of Management , 98% of graduates were employed average salary of $42K Corporate retail employers of program graduates indicated better Excel skills and grasp of specialized merchandise movement and planning strategies than new hires from graduates of similar programs , BURTL 425 (Current Retail Strategies For A Differential Advantage) o 57.5% of students in scored at or above the benchmark score of 23 for the retailer profile oral presentation o 57.5% of students met the benchmark standard of scoring in the top two levels on all rubric criteria for the company analysis written report, falling short of the 65% target o Mean score on the performance interview of 40 seniors was 2.95, slightly below the 3.0 target Corporate and store co-op students received high marks from employers across 16 competencies, with average scores of 4.43 and 4.52 out of 5, respectively , BUACT 206 (Intro to Financial Accounting) final exam mean scores were not significantly different from the fall (72.9) to spring (67.8) semester, and did not differ significantly from any other major in the College of Management Students scored average on all but two Peregrine Core Professional Components (CPC), Marketing and Quantitative Research Techniques and Statistics, with an overall score within the average ranking , BURTL 390 (Merchandise Planning and Control) pre-test average was 8.95% compared to 70.05% on the post-test, falling short of the benchmark standard of 75 Five additional direct measures were added to the assessment plan to broaden the measurement of student learning related to program objectives: o BURTL 425 (Current Retail Strategies For A Differential Advantage) retailer profile oral presentation o Senior Capstone evaluation of co-op student competencies o BURTL 425 (Current Retail Strategies For A Differential Advantage) performance interview o BUACT 206 (Intro to Financial Accounting) final exam o BURTL 425 (Current Retail Strategies For A Differential Advantage) Peregrine CPC Exam Program revisions to include more Excel training, webpage analytics, and textile evaluation Connecting assessment methods to identify patterns in responses for accounting Add Practicum students to senior capstone measure of competencies Add common COM rubrics to measure oral and written communication skills and critical thinking skills Develop student learning outcomes 4.2 Operations and 4.5 Supply Chain Strengthen instruction expertise in Buying, Merchandise Planning, and Allocation 4

Apply ethics, business, management, engineering, operations, and processes to diverse supply chain and business environments Average hourly wage for student s taking a co-op from fall 2012-summer 2013 was $16.81/hr Annual salaries ranged from $49K to $53K in , with an average salary of $50K (5 th highest of undergraduate programs at UW-Stout) Spring 2013, 51 students were enrolled including 13 freshmen First full year of graduates from the program was there were five graduates with 100% placement rate directly related to their major Feedback ratings from co-op employers were favorable, with students scoring an average of 4.6 out of , 57% of students passed the APICS Basics of Supply Management exam (18% below national average) Spring 2013, 25% of students passed the APICS Master Planning of Resources exam (46% below national average) , students scored an average of 80.2% on the BUACT 206 (Intro to Financial Accounting) final exam (9.2% above COM average) Three of four students were scored as outstanding by the advisory board on the BUSCM 439 (Seminar: Supply Chain Systems Design) capstone project Fall 2012 through summer 2013, 82% of student co-ops received a performance rating of very satisfied or outstanding, with 10 of 11 employers indicating they would hire the student again In addition to taking the Basics of Supply Chain Management APICS exam, students also took the Master Planning of Resources APICS exam spring semester Course mapping to learning objectives has started to align assessment measures with program objectives Collected and analyzed assessment data for: o BUACT 206 (Intro to Financial Accounting) final exam o BUSCM 439 (Seminar: Supply Chain Systems Design) capstone project o Student and employer co-op data Pilot Supply Chain Design 1 and Supply Chain Design 2 as a replacement for Seminar Supply Chain Systems Design Improve rigor in INMGT 305 (Resource Planning & Materials Mgmt) and INMGT 405 (Resource Plan & Mat Mgmt Practicum) to improve pass rates on APICS exams Expand assessment of co-op evaluations to include additional categories on the Employer Evaluation and on the Student Self-Assessment Begin to collect and analyze survey data from graduates from the prior year Expand the rubric to assess BUSCM-439 (Seminar: Supply Chain Systems Design) capstone project Develop COM-wide rubrics to assess Gen Ed competencies 5

Plan and lead complex projects across the enterprise which enhances business operations and the supply chain Spring 2012, students rated the importance of and the preparation received for each program objective on a scale of 1 (unnecessary/no preparation, respectively) to 5 (essential/excellent preparation, respectively), resulting in an average score of 4.18 for both dimensions , 16 students gradated and 33 students were admitted Fall 2012, 75% of INMGT 705 (Enterprise Resource Planning) students passed the APICS Basics of Supply Chain Management certification exam, exceeding the national exam pass rate average of 74% Fall 2012, 50% of INMGT 705 (Enterprise Resource Planning) students passed the APICS Master of Planning of Resources certification exam, falling below the national exam pass rate average of 71% , 16 of 16 students completed Plan B papers at an acceptable level Implemented revised content for INMGT 705 (Enterprise Resource Planning), including APICS certification exams as an external assessment Two new course offerings: INMGT 712 (Operational Disruption) and INMGT 718 (Advanced Quality Management) Develop assessment measures and instrument for student s Plan B papers Develop an evaluation system to measure students success in completing the program within three, five, and seven years Develop a survey to measure the impact and performance of student s activity in INMGT 640 (Lean Enterprise) Revise the student survey to be conducted both during their academic studies and at the completion of the program 6
