2 HF Electrosurgery Unit AUTOCON II 80 The AUTOCON II 80 is a compact and high-performance HF electrosurgical unit which features a very attractive price-performance ratio. Thanks to the unipolar cutting/coagulation and bipolar coagulation options, the unit meets all technical requirements for use in, for example, out-patient specialist practices. The large display and clear menu structure enable intuitive use. The unit is equipped with two program memories; their presettings can be selected and saved to meet individual user requirements. To achieve the best possible surgical results, exact fine tuning in 1 W steps is possible. This enables extremely precise work with microsurgical needles. The maximum HF output for each HF mode is shown in watts on the display and can be increased or decreased as required. On HF activation, the output is automatically limited to this maximum value. Below this value, the power output is variably adapted to the tissue impedance so that a continuously reproducible surgical effect is achieved while ensuring optimal patient safety. Different foot pedals (1-pedal or 2-pedal) can also be connected, if desired. In order to keep investment costs for users as low as possible, the new AUTOCON II 80 units feature combination sockets for bipolar, unipolar and neutral electrode connections. This means that cables and instruments from other manfacturers can be used in addition to those from KARL STORZ without any problems.

4 Special Features at a Glance Soft and/or standard coagulation work with unmodulated HF voltage. No spark formation prevents carbonization of the tissue and considerably reduces adherence of the tissue to the electrode surface. In addition to standard coagulation, the unit features forced coagulation. This type of coagulation works with modulated HF voltage and is used for all surgical interventions requiring fast and effective coagulation. The unit features constant voltage unipolar cutting for reproducible surgical results. HF functions can be activated via footswitch or manual control switch. The self-test during the activation phase ensures maximum patient and user safety. Extremely easy to use and operate due to logical arrangement and color coding of the control elements.
