3 Higher degrees mean higher employment growth Not only are those with a bachelor s degree more likely to be employed, but job growth is often higher in fields that require a degree. In fact, over the last two decades, employment of degree holders has risen sharply. For associate degree holders, employment has grown 42 percent, while employment of those with bachelor s degrees or higher has risen an astonishing 82 percent.
