Note: Enterprises are also building private clouds in their on-premise data centres, using virtualisation and orchestration software on their own infrastructure. These are not included in this study; instead, the focus is on hosted private clouds offered as a service by third-party providers. Hybrid Cloud: The term hybrid cloud generally denotes a combination of cloud environments under the management of a single enterprise - e.g., private and public hosted cloud services, or an on-premise private cloud plus a hosted cloud.
