1 Project Experience GAUDREAU, INC. HAS BEEN PROVIDING, comprehensive design services for academic facilities for almost 50 years. Our experience encompasses the design of over 50 higher education facilities on more than 20 different campuses as well as dozens of K-12 projects for both the public and private sector. These commissions have included design of major additions, brand new facilities, and comprehensive s, with many of the new buildings being incorporated into an existing academic campus. These facilities have fun the full gamut from general classroom facilities to large, multi-building campuses. In addition to the typical program spaces found in most schools, we also have extensive experience with fine and performing arts spaces; recreation/athletic facilities; aquatics; science labs; and library and media centers. We feel that the design of educational facilities is best described as a process, one in which the needs of the students and teachers are evolved during the planning discourse with the architect. Each participant in the programming and planning process brings their current knowledge and sensitivity to the effort. Whether the ultimate use is a sculpture studio, biology lab or resource center, the design solution will be directly related to the contributions made by the responsible participants in the design process.
