2 INTRODUCTION In August 1965, Le Corbusier, recognized as the most important architect of the twentieth century, passedawayinthemediterraneanseawaters.forthisreason,thearchitecturaldesigndepartmentat the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, with the support of the Fondation Le Corbusier in Paris, promotesthisinternationalconferenceinvalencia. Le Corbusier was one of the most prolific architects in the creation of links between ideas and images, between visual arts and architecture, between history and modernity. The power of his ideas was continuallybeingtestedandconfirmedbyhisarchitecturalwork.inhisprojects,writings,paintingsand sculpturesheworkedoutdifferentvisionsofwhatshouldmatcharchitecturalmodernity,whichdrewon apersonalbackgroundbuiltupondiverseideologicalreferences. Ifthereisanyoutstandingfeatureinhiscareer,itisthetransversalconditionofhiscreativework.This idea oftransversalityenables us to open this conference to artists, historians, book publishers, photographers,thinkersand,ofcourse,architects The LC 2015 congress will be held onnovember at the Escuela Técnica Superior de ArquitecturadelaUniversitatPolitècnicadeValència(UPV),whichhasbeenrecentlyrankedasthebest technicaluniversityinspainbytheacademicrankingofworlduniversities(arwu)2014. 4 SUBMISSIONGUIDELINES Authors from all over the world are invited to submit original and unpublished papers, which are not under review in any other conference or journal. All papers will be peer reviewed by the program committeebasedontheiroriginality,significance,methodologicalsoundness,andclarityofexposition. SubmittedpaperscanbewritteninSpanish,EnglishorFrenchandshouldbeinPDF.Theymustfollowthe instructionsinthetemplatefile,availableinmicrosoftword. Theseguidelinesarestrict:papersfailingtoadheretotheguidelines(exceedingtheextension,altering marginsornotfollowingthetemplate)willberejectedwithoutconsiderationoftheirmerits.submissions implythewillingnessofatleastoneauthortoregister,attendtheconference,andpresentthepaper.
