5 PRACTICAL INFORMATION ABOUT LYON - Transports: Metros and Tramways work from 5:30 am to 12:15 am. There is couple of night buses lines, but it is not well developed. - Shops :! Shops in the Center of Lyon (1st & 2 nd district) are open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm;! Shops in the main commercial center (Part Dieu, see the map above) are open from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm;! In other districts and out of Lyon, shops close between 12:00 pm and 2 pm. for the lunch break;! Except from the Old City (5 th district) and few places in the Center of Lyon, everything is closed on Sundays. - Services (banks, post offices, landlords etc.): Service places usually close between 5 pm and 6 pm. They are always closed for the lunch breaks. - Where to get a bank account? If your internship is for 6 months or more, you should open a French bank account.
