DRAFTER/ADVOCATE, Louisiana Competency to Stand Trial Statutes 2008 Drafted and successfully advocated on behalf of legislation amending Louisiana Code of Criminal Procedure Articles 641 et seq., dealing with procedures relating to defendants who are incompetent to stand trial. CRIMINAL DEFENSE BAR REPRESENTATIVE to ASPIRES 2007 to present Represent the interests of the criminal defense bar in ASPIRES - Accountability, Strategic Planning & Integration of Evidence Systems. ASPIRES is a group of criminal justice stakeholders working together to create a model evidence system for Orleans Parish that is reliable, accountable and in line with industry standards PAPERS FOR PRISONERS/ALLIES 2008 to present Faculty coordinator of program designed to match volunteer law students with Louisiana inmates who need assistance locating legal documents.
