And at Champlain we are proud to boast that most graduates of our computer forensics degree programs have job offers within 30 days of graduation, many even well before graduation! According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in IT fields which includes computer forensics are projected to grow much faster than average for all occupations, with an increase of 30% by Salaries vary widely depending upon whether you are in a public or private sector position, what your responsibilities are, and your experience. The median salary range is $55,000 $85,000. Our career services office reports that our graduates who have relocated for jobs in the New York City or Washington, DC areas are starting at salaries of $55,000 $65,000 plus benefits. Graduates in less urban areas are starting slightly lower, at $40,000 $50,000 plus benefits. With our students credibility comes from your direct experience in the field. 14 M.S. in Digital Forensic Science The M.S. in Digital Forensic Science teaches students to be scientists using digital evidence to investigate a variety of crimes and develop methods with which evidence can be collected for the courts. Champlain s Digital Forensic Science program is among the first in the nation to meet the requirements of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. The 36-credit program is open to students with a bachelor's degree in digital or computer forensics, computer science or a similar degree with practical experience in digital forensics. It is recognized that practitioners in the field of Digital Forensics come from a range of backgrounds, and historically tertiary courses in the field have been limited. 16 PATHe: A Faster, More Affordable Way To Earn Your Bachelor s Degree What Is PATHe? At Champlain College adult students are our business. We recognize that you are not just an older 18-year old; you have knowledge, skills and experiences traditional-aged students do not. So we created PATHe (Personalized Access To Higher Education). PATHe lets you earn credit for what you already know, helping you earn your degree faster and more affordably than ever before. Champlain College accepts up to 90 credits toward a 120 credit bachelor s degree, which means you could potentially only need to complete 30 credits to graduate! How Does PATHe Work? A PATHe advisor will work with you to examine your resume; college transcripts; military and/or professional training;... and any other life experience you have. The advisor will then talk to you about your professional and academic goals, as well as your preferred learning style, and from there determine the shortest, most appropriate route to your degree. Get The Credit You Deserve Because of our work and life experience you may already be an expert in many subjects. Demonstrate that expertise through one, or all, of the following methods and earn up to 90 credits toward your bachelor s degree: Credit By Exam Complete the Final Exam or Project of a course(s) for a non-refundable fee; Earn a grade of C or better, receive credit for the course; Need a review?
