1 Amerigroup Website User Guide for Providers: Delegated Administrator Tools page 1 The site permits delegated administration, which allows a practice (TIN) to assign/revoke users and user rights directly and independently. Delegated Administrators (DAs) have elevated rights to: Administer other users and backup DAs in their practice Administer which providers a particular user can manage, as well as determine the administration rights a user may have regarding claims and precertification. The DA is the initial user of the site and must set up the account using the assigned registration code. Subsequent users for the practice (TIN) must complete the registration process, and are approved by the DA. Note: The site does not allow you to add new users to your TIN. Anyone needing to create an account should follow these steps: 1. Click on Login Help at the top of the Provider Self Service Home Page 2. Click on the Register Button 3. Enter your TIN and Amerigroup Provider ID number 4. Click Submit and Complete Your Profile. The DA tools allow you to: Assign site permissions to a user with Authorized Roles (page 3) Assign individual provider accounts to be managed by a specific user with Manage Users for TIN (page 5) We will examine each of these tools below. Authorized Roles 1. Select Delegated Administrator Tools from the Account Management menu. The Account Management page displays.

Be sure the appropriate TIN is first selected/displayed in the Managing TIN drop-down menu. A page displays that will allow you to edit user permissions. Select from the list of users registered to act on behalf of the selected TIN.
3 Amerigroup Website User Guide for Providers: Delegated Administrator Tools page 3 3. Select the authorized role(s) the user will perform for the provider s TIN on the Amerigroup website. Additional features BACK returns you to the previous page PREV selects/displays the previous user in the list NEXT selects/displays the next user in the list REVOKE APPROVAL revokes the selected user s permission to act on behalf of the provider s TIN Auths permits use of the authorization/precertification tools Claims permits use of the claims tools DA permits use of the delegated administrator tools If no roles are selected, the user will only be able to verify eligibility.

Perform Steps 1 and 2 of the Authorized Roles procedure (above) to access the appropriate user s permissions. 2. Scroll down to the Associated Providers section and click ADD beside the provider that the user will manage for the managing TIN. For this lesson, we will add John Dunderski. 3. Click ACTIVATE to activate the selected provider(s). If activating multiple providers, click ACTIVATE ALL. Notes: When selected, the provider s name moves to the top of the list Clicking REMOVE returns the provider s name to the ADD state The provider is now associated with the user s account. To view all providers associated with a particular user, refer to Amerigroup Website User Guide for Providers: Manage Provider IDs.

Providers can access the precertification tool by logging in to the Amerigroup provider self service website or the Availity Web Portal.
