5 Quality Integrity Innovation Professionalism Service Security Solutions Our Products ACTIVE VEHICLE BARRIERS GRAB -300 (ASTM 50mph) The Ground Retractable Automobile Barrier (GRAB -300) system is the world s first energy absorbing, M50 certified, non-hydraulic net vehicle barrier with lengths up to 62' feet (18 meters) wide. Unlike rigid wedge barriers, the GRAB -300 is a reduced risk solution that helps ensure the protection of both the facility and the vehicle occupants. The GRAB-300 was awarded the 2009 GSN Homeland Security Award for Best Crash Barrier. GRAB -400 (ASTM 40mph) The Ground Retractable Automobile Barrier (GRAB -400) system is an ASTM M40 rated, non-hydraulic net active vehicle barrier lengths up to 60' feet (17 meters) wide. It provides a cost-effective and more reliable alternative to final denial barriers such as hydraulic plate wedge, electric finger wedge, and retractable bollard barriers. SW1900 WEDGE (ASTM M50 50mph) The SW1900 wedge provides ASTM M50 P1 rated protection suitable for a wide variety of facilities such as embassies, military installations, corporate headquarters, data centers, and Federal Government agencies. Innovative noise dampening technology has been incorporated into the barrier design, making the SW1900 well-suited for installations located near businesses or other properties that are sensitive to noise levels. The SW1900 offers either hydraulic or electric operation. CRASH RATED DROP ARMS (ASTM M50-15,000lbs@50mph, K4&K12) Crash Rated Drop Arms have been designed with modern technological advancements to provide protection, speed and control. The AMTM M50 (K12) and ASTM M30 (K4) crash rated products provide industry leading electro-mechanical or hydraulic operation for openings up to 25 feet. The beam is ideal for operating in conditions ranging from -30 F to 200 F, making it the preferred choice among drop beams for extreme weather applications. SW1700 ELECTRIC RETRACTABLE BOLLARD The SW1700 represents a dramatic leap forward in electro-mechanical anti-ram bollard reliability and functionality. The SW1700 is capable of stopping a 15,000 lb. truck traveling at 50 MPH, SW1700 is ASTM F certified. In addition, the standard SW1700 is capable of raising to the full up position in less than 2.0 seconds. CUSTOM CONTROLS Quality Barrier Operator Controls are imperative to the effectiveness of any active vehicle barrier (AVB) system. FNSS designs and manufactures custom barrier controls that meet strict testing requirements. The panels can be implemented with any AVB System, regardless of manufacture or the age of the system. 04
6 Security Solutions Quality Integrity Innovation Professionalism Service Our Products PASSIVE VEHICLE BARRIERS SW1200 POST & CABLE BARRIER (ASTM M50-15,000 50mph) Post and Cable barrier systems prevent threat vehicles from exiting the Access Control Point response zone and avoiding the controlled entry to the installation. The SW1200 M50 Post & Cable Passive Barrier System provides a cost-effective, flexible solution for large areas which require crash rated or engineered anti-ram protection. Faster and less expensive to provide and install than fixed bollards, boulders, reinforced walls and alternative post & cable systems, the SW1200 is an ideal solution for perimeter protection along roadways, entry corridors, or to protect critical infrastructure. HIGH SECURITY FENCING High Security Fencing has become a necessity to meet today s increased security demands. The resistive strength of heavy-duty steel pales secured vertically to a framework of I-beam posts provides the necessary strength and security for a first line of defense. High Security Fencing delays aggressive attacks while providing seamless integration with additional security products. BOLLARD SOLUTIONS Crash Rated, Decorative, and Removable Bollards are available in a variety of configurations to suit client needs. We provide support along the entire planning cycle for those clients considering bollards for pedestrian, traffic and access control. Bollards are a great solution for controlling traffic flow and vehicular access, or simply enhancing perimeter security. DECORATIVE JERSEY BARRIERS Decorative Jersey Barriers are pre-cast concrete traffic barriers combining maximum protection and aesthetics. Various styles are available to upgrade curb appeal or the style can be matched to existing architectural themes. Concrete Barriers carry ASTM C31, C33, and C150 certifications. MOBILE VEHICLE BARRIERS EXPEDITIONARY MOBILE BARRIER (EMB )(ASTM PU60) The Expeditionary Mobile Barrier (EMB) is a proprietary mobile net barrier that provides security at any location. The innovative arresting technology reduces the likelihood of occupant injury while safely bringing the vehicle to a stop. Able to be assembled in less than five minutes, the EMB can be deployed in less than two seconds and can be quickly reset. The EMB is also FHWATL3 certified. 05
7 Quality Integrity Innovation Professionalism Service Security Solutions Our Products MOBILE VEHICLE BARRIERS XTREME MOBILE BARRIER (XMB ) The Xtreme Mobile Barrier (XMB) is the most flexible, easy to use traffic barricade on the market. The proprietary XMB system can be configured as a completely portable barricade that can be installed and deployed in less than 5 minutes. It can be used as a permanent barricade at installations that require more than a simple drop arm. STAR BARRIERS STAR Barriers were developed as a fast and convenient method for temporarily increasing checkpoint security. The STAR barriers provide an excellent alternative to concertina wire and spike strips, and can be safely deployed by one person. ELECTRONIC MONITORING OVERSPEED AND DIRECTIONAL DETECTION SYSTEM (ODDS ) The Overspeed and Directional Detection System (ODDS) alerts the guard force at an access/entry control point that a vehicle is approaching at a high rate of speed in the inbound or outbound lanes. Unlike traditional loop systems, ODDS utilizes Doppler radar to detect a speeding vehicle or a vehicle attempting to enter an ACP through the outbound lanes and sends an audible and visual alarm to the guards. UNDER VEHICLE INSPECTION SYSTEM (UVIS) Under Vehicle Inspection System (UVIS) provides a safe, rapid, and thorough method of examining passenger and commercial vehicles undercarriage by quickly scanning the undercarriage as the vehicle enters the ACP. The complete full color image can be magnified, manipulated, or saved to a database. When linked with the LPR, security personnel can have access to real-time threat data. LICENSE PLATE READER (LPR) The License Plate Reader (LPR) System uses patented technology to detect a vehicle, capture the image containing the license plate, locate and read the number and state of origin, and process the information in real time from linked databases. With 95% accuracy, the LPR will help identify potential threat vehicles. EVENT RECORDER FNSS s Event Recorder is the first in the industry that meets the requirements of the Unified Facilities Guide Specification (UFGS) for access control point event recording. The device, integrated into any system, can record the time, date and description of any event recognized by the active barrier s Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). 06
8 Security Solutions Our Products Quality Integrity Innovation Professionalism Service ELECTRONIC MONITORING INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEMS (IDS) Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are utilized to prevent and detect intrusion of unauthorized personnel while enhancing the efficiency of on-site security resources. IDS systems are comprised of fence installed sensors, video cameras, and data communication systems integrated to match client specifications. ACCESS CONTROL CANOPIES Canopies serve as a gateway encouraging visitors to slow down and to continue at a lower speed. They also house the ID check areas that keep unauthorized motorists out of the facility. Our DOD compliant portfolio of pre-engineered or custom canopies is the perfect complement to our barriers and electronic monitoring devices. GUARD BOOTHS Guard Booths are prefabricated as specified by the UFGS specifications, section Pre-assembled, designed, and structurally engineered with 14 gauge steel mechanical square tubing framework meeting ASTM-A500 standards. Ballistic rated booths are available with walls, ceilings, windows, and doors manufactured with material that meets or exceeds bullet resistance level I, II, III, or IV as identified by UL Standard 752. This range covers a 9mm handgun up to a.30 caliber rifle. OVERHEAD DETECTION SYSTEM The Overheight Detection System is a simple and cost effective way to alert drivers of oversized vehicles of their inability to enter a canopy area safely. When an oversized vehicle hits the tattle tales that are suspended at the appropriate height, a sound is emitted to warn the driver. SIGNS AND SIGNALS FNSS offers signs and signals packages to increase awareness of your barrier systems for approaching drivers. Our signs and signals packages advise drivers on how to safely proceed into your facility and alert them to when a barrier is activated. TRAFFIC CONTROL DROP ARMS Traffic Control Drop Arms provide a visible deterrent and positive traffic control in a variety of applications. They can be used in conjunction with final denial active vehicle barriers for high security or as a simple barrier to control traffic flow. The sturdy, noncrash rated portfolio of products can be installed with electro-mechanical, hydraulic, or manual operation. 07
