Supported the provider s and clinical staff on functional workflows regarding Epic s Inbasket, Order Entry, Clinical Documentation and user customization. Implemented suggested documentation of injections and allergy therapy. Performed one-on-one training sessions with Providers regarding Epic s system functions, workflow tasks and knowledge base information. ESD/ Yale New Haven Hospital System, New Haven, Connecticut (January 2013 February 2013) Direct support for the activation of the Yale New Haven Health System s Epic Ambulatory and Impatient system at the Yale Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Medical Group located in Guilford. Trained the front desk staff on functional workflows, tasks and best practice procedures regarding Epic s Cadence and Prelude functions on the Check-in, Check-out, Registration, Insurance Verification, and tasks associated with the Inbasket telephone call. Demonstrated the use of smart phrase creation and logic of how to apply to documentation. Yale Medical Group s Guildford Pediatrics Hematology and Oncology Clinic was a multi-specialty practice. The focus of Pediatric out-patient and treatment specialties made this location particularly unique. Trained the provider s and clinical staff on functional workflows regarding Epic s Inbasket, Order Entry, Clinical Documentation and user customization. New Center One Pediatrics clinic was known as the top running ambulatory clinic during Henry Ford Health System s Wave 1 activation project. Performed one-on-one training sessions with Providers regarding Epic s system functions, workflow tasks and knowledge base information. ACRO Service Corp. / University of Michigan Health System, Ann Arbor, MI (July 2012 September 2012) As Lead Assist, Direct support for the activation of the University of Michigan s Epic Ambulatory system Managed system support for three departments. Allergy & Immunology, Adult Surgery Pre-op & Post-op, and Anticoagulation departments Managed a two week timeline to train, implement and support the Adult Surgery Pre-op and Post-op along with the Allergy and Immunology departments Saved the University of Michigan the expense of increasing staff FTE by introducing department workflow solutions Saved the University of Michigan the cost of duplicate medication orders by customizing the Providers preferences and simplifying the order process At-The-Elbow support for Physicians, Nurses, Clinical and Admin staff Performed hospital wide security validation for all staff using the Epic Ambulatory system Organized, Established and Performed personalized training sessions with physicians and nurse staff to determine clinic workflows and solutions Instructed project consultants by demonstrating training simulations Collected time sheets and expenses for payroll processing and dispersed payroll checks to consultant staff INPATIENT GO-LIVE EXPERIENCE Santa Rosa / Sutter Health, Oakland, CA (April 2013) Epic Shift Coordinator/ Activation Consultant, Healthcare IT Shift Coordinator for Sutter Health s Inpatient Go-live Direct support for the Sutter Health System s Summit Campus Peralta Radiation Oncology Outpatient Center.
