1 Concept of the Online Journal "Zeitschrift Kunststofftechnik" "Journal of Plastics Technology" The "Journal of Plastics Technology", as known in Germany as Zeitschrift Kunststofftechnik, is an archival, peer-reviewed internet periodical published under the auspices of the "Scientific Alliance of Polymer Technology Professors" (WAK) in collaboration with Carl Hanser Publishers, Munich. The aim is to publish topical, scientific articles in the field of polymeric materials, design, processing and their mutual interactions in an expedited form and make it accessible to a larger community. The journal is intended as a portal for ideas and information in the field of plastics technology. The most important aim is to publish current qualified articles fast and in an economical way. 3 Submission of Articles Competent authors can submit scientific papers in English and German. Documents The submitted documents must be complete, accurately edited and formatted following the instructions and guidelines (further information under Weitere Informationen ; Carl Hanser Publishers): - Scientific paper in word-format (max. 10 MB) and in pdf-format (anonymous in the text as well, without first and last page) - 1 representative image chosen from the paper in best quality and tiff- or jpg-format. This image will be published as advance notice in the journal "Kunststoffe", Attention - Follow the instructions for formatting accurately! - Unedited papers (like diploma thesis or internal reports) are not citeable - Accumulations of auto-references are persived negatively Procedure - Papers are to be submitted to the Institute of Polymer Technology, Erlangen manuskript@kunststofftech.com, - Documents will be checked for completeness; request for additional documents or changes are done if necessary, - Checking of the documents and choice of referees by Profs. Ehrenstein and Osswald, - Review criteria according to the attached review template, - Return of the review documents to the handing in author, - Information to the author: - Acknowledgement of receipt and forwarding to the referees - Information about the acceptance, - Date of publication, - Sent to the publisher Publication The paper will be published at and Free access to the publication is granted to the authors; there will be no royalties.
