1 2012 Work Plan The mission of Lovell Inc. is to promote economic development in the Lovell community and environs, specifically devised to increase employment, payroll, business volume and corresponding factors in said area. We actively work with existing business entities. We believe in cultivating and encouraging the power of new entrepreneurs. We search out business ventures that would be compatible with and viable in our marketplace. We believe in the value of public-private partnership efforts in economic development and like to see government and the private sector working together. We believe in being responsive to community input and in developing an economic development program that helps achieves the overall goals of the community. We believe in having a good common-sense plan for economic development that is easily understood and able to be consistently and easily communicated by a variety of people. We believe in encouraging an entrepreneurial spirit, business friendly atmosphere, and responsible development that will help build a more healthy economy. We believe in results rather than just activity as the best measure of performance. Goals: 1. Create a high performance economic development organization 2. Generate primary and secondary jobs 3. 4 Data gathering, management and promotion of available programs and potential funding sources for commercial construction Expected Outcome: We expect gathering, dissemination and managing of this data will help to stimulate additional capital construction in the area Goal #4 Project Enhance business infrastructure To ensure appropriate infrastructure is in place for future growth, using the Town of Lovell Master Plan as a guiding document. 5 Expected Outcome: We expect these projects will help to further establish Lovell Inc. as a high performance economic development organization, strengthen a support system for the business community, and spark interest in a new generation of entrepreneurs Goal #6 Build positive public relations about the effort To ensure Lovell Inc. s mission, vision and values are communicated in a consistent, positive manner to its constituents.
