3 Getting Started: Installation / License Free-Version 1. Download: License 2. ask for your free (Campus) license key at: [email protected] 3. enter license key

On-line search via Citavi in book catalogues bibliographic databases 4. 9 KEYWORDS VS. CATEGORIES Keywords Can be imported automatically from research databases. Describe the contents of a reference or a quotation. Can consist of one or more words Information literacy E-learning Glut of information ACRL Are separated by semicolons Categories Allow you to systematically and hierarchically group the following: References: group by subject, as in the library Content: group knowledge items in an outline Can be exported to Word so that you can use this outline to write your paper. 9

Word 2003 required) You can insert bibliographic references and citations directly References (footnotes) and bibliography are automatically created according to the citation style you have selected. Publication assistant for OpenOffice/LibreOffice and TeX-editors There are placeholders for your references and citations (curly brackets) In the end you have to format your file according to the selected citation style.

Can I create my own citation style? Yes, with the Citation Style Editor. Does the Citavi Team create citation styles? Yes, as long as it is the official style of a periodical or publisher that has author guidelines.
