1 The European Association of Consultants to and about Not-For-Profit Organisations EUCONSULT SUMMER CONGRESS STRASBOURG, JUNE 2015 CONGRESS SPEAKERS Vincent Ayres Manager, Le Labo, France Vincent Ayres has worked within the regional partnerships laboratory in Alsace (labo régional des partenariats) since His missions consist in bringing local non-profit organizations and private companies closer together, in order to develop innovative partnerships, especially by organizing and animating several regional events. For example, the lab organized more than twenty speed-datings during the past few years, between CEOs from the private sector and heads of non-profit organizations. Rev Lothar Bauer Chairman of Management Board, BruderhausDiakonie, Germany Lothar Bauer studied theology in Berlin, Munich and Tübingen. Since 1994 he is the chairman of the management board of BruderhausDiakonie, a foundation with a broad spectrum of social activities in Germany in the area of Baden-Württemberg. He is member of the supervising board and the theological committee of the association of the diaconical corporations (Diakonisches Werk Württemberg) of the Protestant Churches in Württemberg. The BruderhausDiakonie, founded in 1834, supports the psychically and mentally handicapped.

2 2 Agnès Ciccarone Head of Academic and Training Centre, and Council of Europe Representative, Assembly of European Regions, France Head of the AER Academic and Training Centre since 2013, Agnès Ciccarone has been working for the last 14 years at the Assembly of European Regions. Before creating the AER Academic and Training Centre, Agnès Ciccarone coordinated the Committee for Economy and Regional Development of AER. She moved to the Institutional Affairs Committee in 2009, and has been working since then as the AER representative at the Council of Europe, specialising in key issues for European regions, such as: subsidiarity, multilevel governance, European Neighbourhood Policy, Europe She is a specialist in regionalism in Europe and is currently coordinating a study about the state of play of regionalism and the role of regions in Europe, to be published in She coordinates and moderates the training sessions conceived by AER for its members on various thematic issues, and has launched the concept of leadership training academies, following an agreement with the Council of Europe. On 1 April 2015, she registered as an independent consultant on European and international affairs, to build upon her experience, while remaining employed at AER. Pierre Hoerter Managing Director, Soli vers, France Wine grower, settled since 1988, with extensive experience in adult education as a trainer at an agricultural high school. Since he founded The Green Hand in 1995, Pierre is manager of structures of vocational integration for people with special needs, founder member and administrator of about ten learning companies with activities like agriculture, green spaces, vine growing, catering and cleaning, in France. This concept of training, work and social inclusion in a situation of fair competition in connection with the trade sectors, benefited from the support of the European Union and is the fruit of numerous professional, social and formative partnerships. He participates in the accessibility of the certifications with the Ministry of Agriculture, working on job benchmark descriptions and leading innovative projects for the equivalence of qualifications in Europe. In 2012, Pierre founded his own consulting company Soli vers which works on inclusion engineering, creates training software, adapts training tools, and advises and accompanies projects with a team of engineers. He regularly participates in conferences about social entrepreneurship in particular at ENA (NATIONAL ADMINISTRATION SCHOOL) in Paris, and contributes to publications in this field.

3 3 Mathilde Jean Policy Officer, CRESS Alsace, France Mathilde Jean studied foreign languages in Normandy for two years before leaving for Cardiff University in She graduated in 2011 and then started a master s degree in Social Economy in Alsace. Malthilde then did an internship at CRESS Alsace (Chamber of Social Economy) where she was later hired. Since then, she has worked at the association, mainly on missions about education and communication. Tobias Merckle Chairman of the Board, Bearer of Hope Foundation (Hoffnungsträger Stiftung), Germany Tobias Merckle is Founder and Executive Chairman of Seehaus e.v. in Leonberg and Chairman of the Board of the Bearer of Hope Foundation (Hoffnungsträger Stiftung) in Leonberg (Germany). Tobias studied social pedagogy/social work in Lüneburg (Germany) and New York and has worked for Prison Fellowship International and visited many prisons all over the world. In 2001 he founded Seehaus e.v., the German member organisation of Prison Fellowship International. Seehaus runs two juvenile prisons in free forms as alternatives to regular juvenile prisons, a victim support office, victim and offender mediation meetings, as well as community service and a forest and anmial kindergarden. In 2013 he founded the Bearer of Hope Foundation, which is active in the fields of refugees, victims of crimes, prisoners, children of prisoners and crime prevention in social hotspots. Patrick Rosenfeld Consultant and Director, Culture d Enterprise, France After being in charge of managerial responsibilities in various firms for more than twenty years, he founded Culture d Entreprise in Patrick Rosenfeld supports non-profit organizations and private companies to develop projects based on an intense partnership. He is now involved in CSR to interbreed economic realities of private companies with public interest and citizenship. Patrick Rosenfeld operates with project holders in cultural, social, sports, environmental or transversal fields. He advises private companies, local authorities and communities. He is also involved in vocational training and teaches in universities (EDHEC, Sorbonne Paris IV, Universities of Lille, Lyon, etc.). «I am deeply convinced of the benefits of networking between project holders and private companies upon common values. Projects that are set up on these foundations produce innovative, constructive, solidary, sustainable partnerships.»

4 4 David Saint Principal, Action Planning, UK David established Action Planning in 1990 after 16 years in regional fundraising and fundraising director posts with Scope, Sense, SANE and Arthritis Care. He is a regular contributor to conferences, seminars and publications on the basis of his extensive experience in the sector. David has advised the Boards and Senior Management Teams of some of the most significant not-for-profit organisations, and has been commissioned by leading funders such as Tudor Trust and The Henry Smith Charity to advise on projects that they support. David is a member of the Institute of Fundraising (where he was the founder chairman of the Consultants Group), former Chairman of EUConsult (the European network of consultants to the not-for-profit sector), and former Chair of Advantage Africa. Frank Scherer Governor, Ortenau County, Germany Frank Scherer has been Governor of Ortenau County since November In his work as Governor of a German county, Frank Scherer is responsible for a wide range of public services which include inter alia social matters and assistance for people with special needs. As the head of the county administration and hospitals with all together 7000 employees, he also handles refugee matters, an activity which has grown dramatically during the last months due to the massive affluence of refugees from war areas to Germany. During his time as President of the Eurodistrict Strasbourg-Ortenau, a grouping of territorial cooperation under European standards, Frank Scherer organized Franco-German meetings between civil society and politicians in order to involve the people directly in the development of this new form of cross border cooperation. Frank Scherer, born in 1963, studied law in Germany and France and did a part of his legal traineeship at the United Nations in New York. After his final state examination, he was a judge at the Administrative Tribunal of Freiburg and continued his career as a legal officer in the Ministry of State (Baden-Württemberg). As from 1997 Frank Scherer was Vice-President of the Landesanstalt für Kommunikation Baden-Württemberg (Supervisory Authority for Broadcasting and Media Services) in Stuttgart. In 2006 he returned to Freiburg as Vice- President of the State-Government s Regional Administration before he was elected Governor of Ortenau County in 2008.

5 5 Dr Francesca Zagni Independent Consultant, Italy After being in charge of managerial responsibilities in various multinationals and international law firms in Europe and the USA, in 1991 Francesca started to work for not-forprofit organisations as Secretary General of the Italian Section of Amnesty International and subsequently as Managing Director of the Amnesty International Italian Foundation. She contributed to seminars, training courses and publications for Amnesty groups and structures. From 2002, she has worked as a Consultant specialising in Management and Fundraising for several national and international not-for-profit organisations and foundations. She was elected President of ASSIF Associazione Italiana Fundraisng, member of EFA European Fundraising Association and member of the Scientific Committee for Fundraising for the Italian Government Agency for the Third Sector. Francesca is currently also a lecturer at a number of universities for Masters courses: Universita S.Tommaso d Aquino ANGELICUM ; LUMSA University Rome and the Fundraising School of AICCON (Bologna University). She is also a member of the Professione Etica, Leadership Forum and a Board Member of EUConsult (the European network of consultants for the not-for-profit sector).
